^AGE • - PLAINDEALER - WEDNESDAY, MAY 3, 1978 McCullom Lake Mary Jo Farrell 344-1575 Village Board At Status Quo With Trustees • s • > The village board met Tuesday, April 25, at the beach house. Kacen Parks was sworn in as McCullom Lake's newest trustee, to replace Monty Yates, who resigned last month. That swearing-in brought the number of trustees back up to normal working level until Terry Jordan's letter of resignation was read. The village is one short again now. Gene Huff has taken over the police work, and will handle it until a replacement for Terry is found. Three new policemen have been recently added to the force. They are Jim Wright, Ron Wolf, and Jim Argy. You'll be seeing them around the village soon. There are new visitors permits for your friends to put in their car windows when parking at the beach. They can be picked up at the village clerk's office, which is at her home at 4807 W. McCullom Lake road. The clerk's hours, in case you may have forgotten, are Wednesdays from 3 to 7 p.m. Each household is allowed two permits, with additional permits available from the clerk for larger parties. These extra permits must be returned to the clerk after the party. If you own a boat, don't forget that it must be registered with the clerk. If your boat is already registered, a small fee is involved to renew the registration, so run over to the clerk's house and do it. The next village board meeting will be held Tuesday, May 9, at the beach house. At 7:30 that evening, before the regular board meeting, there will be a public hearing to discuss allocation of revenue sharing funds available to the village. If you care how the village's money is spent, be there. - BEACHGALS The Beach Gals will be meeting at the beach house Wednesday, May 3, at 7:30 p.m. For a special treat, I've even decided to attend. Plans for the summer will be discussed, with activities for the moms and kids a possibility. Be sure and make plans to attend. BELL RINGERS McCullom Lake Bell Ringers for Mental Health chairwoman JoAnne Weisenberger an nounced that her workers will be out all during the month of May, working to collect money for this worthwhile cause. Please be generous with your time and money when these ladies come to your door. CELEBRATION * Joy Ellen Miller turned 2 years old April 25, and several of her little friends joined in her celebration of the momentous event. Guests at the party in cluded Brian Gates, Megan Farrell, Raina Rourke, Kelly Stacknick, and Gary Rosen- treter, and, of course, brother Ryan. The partygoers enjoyed a Snoopy cake served with ice cream and lemonade, and went home with cute little favors and full tummies. SOFTBALL DEADLINE This is it, girls! Friday, May 5, will be the last day to bring in your registration forms and fees. If they are not all in, there will be no girl's softball this year. This has been a message from Brigitte Scarbrough, president, and Joany Bit- terman, secretary-treasurer. VEHICLE STICKERS A list of residents who have not purchased vehicle stickers for their cars has been turned over to the police, and ticketing of these offenders has begun. Go and pick up your stickers before you have to pay a fine.
