He \&s a dog adopted through {{piping Paws, has been enrolled in the 4-H obedience tlaining program He has just ffeished the novice training vision and will now start the iduate novice division. le breed, while very in- ligent, has been known as igularly impervious to ience training but Chika responded in a way that's ite surprising to all When he jpeted at the recent McHenry county Fair he scored among the top five of the novice obedience class and won an "A" rating Out of a possible 200 points he garnered 195 Then the Coonen family of Woodstock, and Chika, took off in their van for Springfield At the state Fair he took 189 of a possible 200 points, and received a ribbon of merit. He was a great attraction at the dog show he was the only Siberian Husky entered among 200 dogs, probably because this breed doesn t usually rate high in obedience training But Chika is an exception Then there's a nameless Beagle who seems to be displaced The dog was wan- ring in an Algonquin area lesday morning. Aug 30 >ng came a woman walking dog on a leash The Beagle iched itself to these two and lowed them home, and has left the premises It is a lg healthy dog, tri-color, >py-go-lucky, playful, well f a n n e r e d . o b e d i e n t , strained it likes children, adults and other animals It fact, doesn't seem to have a thing against anyone in the world. The dog is not a nuisance barker, willingly gets in a car, and is quiet in the home and in the car Reports have been made to Animal Control, Helping Paws, the Algonquin police, WIVS radio station and the South Elgin shelter. The dog's owner may be grieving for this little bundle of liveliness. To check further please call 312-658-5906 Another grieving owner whom we know is fin HP volunteer.
