Hold County Coin Show A coin show serving the quad county areas of Cook, Lake, McHenry and Kane counties is being hosted by the McHenry County Coin club and will be held at the Crystal lake American Legion hall , Woodstock and Oak streets in Crystal Lake. Sunday. Oct 15, Show hours are 10 a m to 5 pm Admission is free and ample parking is available Club members will be available during the show to answer questions pertaining to coin collecting Specialists will also be on hand to appraise lT S and world coins, tokens and paper money Persons with anything along these lines who have always wondered what they were worth, now is the time to find out at no charge Exhibits will be displayed with trophies awarded Food and beverages will be available at a nominal charge Persons interested in coin collecting are urged to attend the meetings held the fourth Monday of each month, at 8 p m in the American Legion hall . Crvstal Lake Fifteen Riders From Ringwood In Blke-A-Thon The King wood-Green wood youth had a Bike-A-Thon last Sunday for UNCIEF There were fifteen bikers that left the Ringwood church at 2:30 last Sunday and two riders returned by way of bikes We understand a sizable amount was gleaned for the UNCIEF, but more details on that when the final results are turned in , RUMMAGE SALE Friday, Oct 6 and this Saturday. Oct 7 is the semi­ annual Rummage Sale at the Ringwood church On Friday, from 9thru 5p m and Saturday from 9am to noon we will offer our "junque" for you to find as your "treasures". From the looks of things now there is something for everyone With Halloween coming I'm sure you will find that "just right" costume to scare the ghosts and goblins away For those with a sweet tooth there will be coffee "AND" See you Friday and Saturday at the Ringwood church rummage sale CHURCH BIRTHDAY A big vote of praise goes to Paul Schwegal, Jr., for the great successful Pancake breakfast held at the church last Sunday in honor of the 123rd birthday of the Ringwood church Those present enjoyed a very delicious breakfast and some of the best fellowship ever; and those that didn't attend surely missed out Congratulations, Paul Lets do it again next year Nellie Hepron was among those who praised the pancake breakfast. On Monday, she and Art Jenson visited Mrs. Ceil Freuhling. NEW FRONTIERS The New Frontiers group of the Ringwood-Greenwood parish will meet at the Ringwood church on Tuesday, Oct 10 at 9:30 a.m., and travel to Union, 111., to visit the McHenry county Historical Museum Anyone interested in this group and this trip, please meet us at the Ringwood church and enjoy the history of McHenry county with us. CHOIR The Ringwood choir now meets at the Ringwood church at 7 p.m, every Thursday for practice New members are always welcome. Do join us You may think you can't sing; but it all sounds better in a group, and it's more fun SEWING CIRCLE The sewing circle met at the home of Doris Low last Thursday and all ladies were working feverishly to finish projects started for the up­ coming Bazaar on Nov. 11. There will be one more work day for this year, and it will be at the home of Katy Christopher on Nov 26 the ladies meet at 10:30, have lunch at noon, and continue to work until 3 p.m Oh, yes. Fern Mechum poured last Thursday There will be another craft night at Katy Christopher's home on Monday, Oct 16 Anyone wishing to come, please do so This will be mostly Macrame work If you wish to work with someone on craft projects, call Fern Mechum and she will arrange a get- together HELP!!
