Present Original Skit filled with humor and a meaningful message. The evening will present the opportunity for Christian fellowship, home made goodies, and refreshing en tertainment. It is hoped that all ALC members will remember the date, bring a friend, and try this new way to begin the holiday season. PLAN ENTERTAINMENT - Yvonne Alton, on the left, combines her talent end experience with that of Ann Marie Cina, as the two local actresses work on the production of a meaningful, but light- hearted, skit, in which both will also act, for the ALC Christmas program at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran church. Monday, Dec. 4, at 7 p.m., the American Lutheran Chur- chwomen's group from Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran church will hold its annual Christmas program. Yvonne Alton and Ann Marie Cina, two local actresses, and members of Shepherd of the Hills, will supply the en tertainment for the evening. Ann and Yvonne will perform an original four-part skit en titled "Mary". The idea was presented to them by the church council's president, Bob Panning, and the ladies responded by creating a light-hearted skit ARE YOU MOVING? < ' Subscribers are requested to provide immediate notice of change of address to The McHenry Plain- dealer, 3812 W. According to early estimates, campus enrollment for the current academic year stands at about 11.6 million -- a jump'of an es timated 300,000 students. National Center for Education Statistics officials pointed out recently that last June the num ber of 18-vear-olds graduating from high schools in the United States had "peaked."*As a result, the number of high school graduates is expected to decline into the 1980 s. Admissions officers at cam puses across the country, meanwhile, disclosed some new trends in college this year, in cluding: --A potential swing back away from career training to a demand for more general college educa tion --Students are asking for larger financial aid packages but the number of requests has not risen Significantly. --The proportion of women in PAGE 5 - PLAINDEALER - FRIDAY. DECEMBER 1,1978 college classes seems to have stabilized at almost 49 per cent -- up from 41 per cent in 1970., - -Part-time enrollment has jumped to 40 per cent last fall from a figure of 32 per cent eight years ago.
