The McHenry East campus music department will present a Christmas concert Tuesday, Dec. 5, at 7 p.m. in the East campus gymnasium. W N. Toalson is the director. The freshman band will open the program with "Glorious Things Of Thee Are Spoken", "Christmas Joy" and "Of Festive Bells and Ancient Kings". The treble chorus will appear next singing "Do You Hear What I Hear"? "Jesus. Holy Child", "Tiny King" and "Angels We Have Heard On High". The select chorus has chosen vHow Excellent Is Thy Name", "Masters In This Hall", "Mary, Mary", "While Shepherds Watched" and "Carol Of The Bells". The sophomore band will be heard in Marqhe from "The Nutcracker Suite" and "Sleigh Ride". The combined choirs will conclude the program with "A Tribute Of Carols". The McHenry Junior high school cadet band, concert band, sixth, seventh and eighth grade choruses, and the recorder ensemble will present a Christmas concert Thursday, Dec 7at 8 p.m. at the McHenry Junior high school. Following is the tentative program: Cadet Band - "Two Famous Hymns", "The Wood Chop per", " Merry Go Round", "Christmas medley" and "Krazy Klock". Concert Band - "Lexington March", "Suite for Young People", "Four Freedoms Overture", "White Christmas" and "An Old Fashioned Christmas.. Choruses - "Carol of the Bell", "Angels We Have Heard on High", "Joseph Dearest", "Do-di-li", "Dream a Dream" and "I Wonder as I Wander". The fifth grade bands from Valley View and Hilltop will combine for a concert Tuesday, Dec. 12, at 8 p.m. at the Junior high school. The Edgebrook fifth grade band will present a concert Thursday, Dec 14. 8 p.m. also at Junior high. Ms. Donna DeFranco is the chorus director for the Junior high school groups.
