Thomp son has announced that in­ ternship applications are now being accepted for the Governor's 1979 Summer Fellowship program. All Illinois residents presently enrolled in a college or university, who will be at least a junior by the fall of 1979. may apply. Also first-year graduate and professional students are eligible. Interns will work for a two- month period, from June 15 - Aug 15. with a minimum salary of $600 per month.- Participants are placed in a variety of positions in state agencies, departments, boards and eommj-ssionS either in Chicago or in Springfield. The program includes weekly seminars with guest speakers to discuss various aspects of state government "Last year's program was a great success." Thompson said "And. 1 am hopeful that the response and enthusiasm will be as great next year " Applications are available at college or university placement offices or by writing directly to the Governor's Summer Fellowship Program, 160 N LaSalle St..
