Barbara lane, McHenry, parents of Mary Margaret, shown above with her husband, Larry F. Vitek, can look back on 1978 as a year of celebrations and of much activity, for within five months of the year, three daughters were married at St. Patrick's church. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Vitek. 3901 Burton trail. Crystal Lake. The bridal couple entertained fifty people at a luncheon reception in their newly built home. Both are graduates of Northern Illinois university, and teach sixth grade at Coventry school in Crystal Lake. i i . Wearing her mother's own veil, Ann M. Pierce made her promises of marriage to Terry J. Tiffany, Lake Tomahawk, Wise., son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Tiffany, Little Chicago, Wise. A reception for 130 friends and relatives was held in the Pierce home after this wedding ceremony. The bride is a 1975 graduate of Marian Central Catholic high school, and attended Blackhawk Technical institute. The groom graduate<fin 1975 from Tremper high school. Kenosha, and attended Gateway Technical institute. They reside in Lake Tomahawk, Wise. Susan Mae Pierce and Edward P. Meyer, son of Mrs. Margaret Meyer, Downers Grove, and the late Edward P. Meyer, were married by Father Bartel in St. Patrick's. Seventy people attended a luncheon reception at the home of the bride's parents afterward. The bride received her bachelor's degree in education from the University of Wisconsin-Plattevilie in 1971, and has taught at St. John's for five years. The Groom received his bachelor of science in art from St. Ambrose college in Iowa, and is employed as a carpenter in Wausau, Wise. The social committee had the tables decorated with an individual table favor for each member, plus beautiful centerpieces of various kinds, making a very festive apperance. A few items of importance were annound Mr .John Doerr reminded the members that the bus-luncheon-theater trip on Jan. i4 is on and will be to Marriott 's Lincolnshire (Drury Lane North) instead of at Crystal Lake There will be an additional charge because of the bus. so contact Mrs Louise Giel at once to confirm your reservation. The bus will leave the McHenry State Bank parking lot at 11 a.m Mr James Jansien reported he has scheduled another "Drivers' Refresher Course" series to begin on Thursday. Jan. 11, from 10 a.m. to noon at the McHenry city hall council chambers Any senior citizen having a birthday between now and March should take this series There will be another sometime in March It is not necessary to be a member of the club in order to participate in the course Any further in­ formation desired can be secured by calling Mr Jansen at 385-7475.
