JANUARY 19. 1979 $150,000 Blaze Destroys Barn The roof of the barn at the Gordon Stede farm. 4213 N. Pioneer road, is engulfed by flames as firemen from McHenry Companies One and Two hurry to attach hoses to portable water tank. Trucks from Richmond. Spring Grove and Wonder Lake Fire departments helped transport over 149,000 gallons of water from a nearby factory to fight the fire. The blase completely destroyed the structure and damage was estimated to be in excess of $140,000. Firemen were able to contain the fire and did not allow it to spread to nearby|buiidings on the premises. Eighty-nine year old Stanley H. Beall, Rich­ mond, died at Memorial hospital, Woodstock. April 4~Lakemoor resident Walter Biehl died at Woodstock Residence at the age of 89. April 8--Mrs. Lillian M. Carlson, 67, died at McHenry hospital. Mass was offered at St. Patrick's Catholic church for John J. Joyce, 67, who died at Illinois Masonic hospital, Chicago. April 9-Spring Grove area * resident, Fred E. Heuer, died at Veterans Administration hospital, North Chicago, at the age of 69. April 10-Charles T. Secord, 67, died unexpectedly at McHenry hospital. April 11-Former McHenry resident, Mrs. Anna Geier, 87, died at the home of her grand niece in Westmont, 111. April 12-Albert Wilczewaki, Pistakee Highlands, died at McHenry hospital. April 13--A Wonder Lake woman, Harriet Zabielski, was pronounced dead at McHenry hospital following a fire at her home. April 14--A McHenry high school East campus English teacher's husband, Fred Robert Allegretti, 26, was killed in an automobile accident in Lake county. April 15-An ton Blazek, 77, died at McHenry hospital. April 16-A 20-year McHenry resident, Harriet T. Pasierb, died at McHenry hospital at the age of 65. Albert Carlson, 71, of Wonder Lake, died at Memorial hospital, Woodstock. April 18-Mrs. Clara V. Lenard, 79, died at Carestoel Nursing Care center.
