Lakeland Park & Lakeland Shores Sharon Gacek 385-3777 Brownie Troop a Busy In Spring The Brownies have been kept very busy the last two weeks, by leader, Pat Barnes, and co- leader, Trish Eiserman. They taught the girls how to make stocking puppets. The girls have been having so much fun putting on plays for each other. Some of the plays have been "The Three Pigs", "The Three Little Kittens", "Three Billy Goats Gruff", and "Snow White and the Four Dwarfs". In a preparation for Easter, the girls have been making Easter bunny magnets for the refrigerator out of felt and egg cartons. ASSOCIATION MEETS The Lakeland Park Property Owners association will meet this Thursday evening at 8 p.m. to prepare the agenda for the annual meeting. If you would like something on this agenda, then you would have to attend the board meeting. This meeting is being held at the Lakeland Park Community house, 1717 Sunset. WOMEN'S CLUB The Lakeland Park Women's club will hold its meeting on Wednesday, April 11, instead of on Thursday. Plans for the Spring Luncheon will be finalized. Clark, McHenry, recently was awarded the Senior Parachutist Badge. The badge is presented for a minimum of thirty jumps, including fifteen wearing full combat equipment. Clark is a chemical operator supervisor with the 509th In fantry in Italy. A 1974 graduate of McHenry high school, he entered the Army in July 1974. His wife, Linda, is with him in Italy. Estelle Foreman : Finishes Trainingr As Marine Recruit Marine Private Estelle K. Foreman, daughter of Arlene Foreman of 1509 W. Pine street, McHenry, has completed recruit training at the Marine Corps Recruit depot, Parris Island, S.C. During the eight-week training cycle, she was in troduced to the typical daily routine that she will experience during her enlistment, and studied the personal and p r o f e s s i o n a l s t a n d a r d s traditionally exhibited by Marines. She participated in. an active physical conditioning program and gained proficiency in a variety of military skills in cluding close order drill and first aid. Teamwork and self- discipline were emphasized' throughout the training cycle.
