PAGE 4 - PLAINDF ALER - WEDNESDAY. APRIL II,l»7t Village of McHenry Shores Jude La Francis 385-5067 Columnist Asks Candidate Info This columnist had received many, many calls regarding tMe fact that although there is to be an election in the village, April 17. not one word about the candidates has appeared in this column I do not solicit material for this column: people must call in with their news. Except for President Llllegard. none of the other candidates running in the election called me to inform me of their candidacy, or offered to speak to interested parties on the issues To include only mformation on one candidate would be partisan and unfair. » However, it does seem strange that none of the other candidates felt it necessary to inform the residents of their candidacy. In spite of the fact that all but one office is un contested. surely someone naming for office, whatever the office, would want people to know of his qualifications. educational background, and ability to serve At any rate, here is the slate of candidates for Tuesday's election. Running for president: Rose Llllegard and David Grimes: for clerk: S.A. Larsen; for trustee '5 positions to be filled > William Wilson. Ronald G^ant. Martin Koleno. and Stanley Weincuoff The fifth position could be filled by write-ins. The canvassing board will certify the results of the election. April 23. 7 p.m. (alternate date. April 27).
