APRIL 13. 1979 Alma Lach, Guest Conclude Creative Living Series The Creative Living Series sponsored by the Woodstock Fine Arts association will present the final program of this year's series April 19. at the Woodstock Opera House at 10 a.m. Alma Lach, who has her own cooking shcool in Chicago, will demonstrate quick gour­ met cooking. Ms. Lach is one of the few Cordon Bleu chefs in the United States. She will present a complete French dinner where each dish take five minutes to prepare. There will be an ap­ petizer or sour course, seafood, meat, vegetable, salad and dessert. She will suggest the appropriate wines that could be served with each course. Some of the fortunate members of the audience will be able to sample the completed dinner Mrs. Lach's credits are many. She is the author of eight cookbooks, four of which are geared to children. Jane Pauley of the "Today" show featured the Hows and Whys of French Cooking in 1976 as the best of French cookbooks. For nine years, Mrs. Lach was food editor of the Chicago Sun- Times and currently is a contributing writer to Chicago magazine. In 1977. she ap­ peared weekly with Hugh Downs on his series.
