Horse Judging June 9 Horsemen will want to attend the McHenry county judging workshop, according to Craig Scheidecker, McHenry County E x t e n s i o n A d v i s e r , Agriculture. The event will be held at the McHenry county fairgrounds at the horse arena June 9. The event is sponsored by the University of Illinois Cooperative Extension service of Woodstock. Registration will be con­ cluded at 9 a.m. Detailed ex­ planation of what to look for in horse judging will follow. CHURCH CAMPOUT The annual Ringwood- Greenwood parish campout will be June 22, 23 and 24 at the Chain-O-Lakes state park in the same area as last year. Sunday will be the parish church services and family picnic. If you can't come to camp, mark your calendar to join the group for part of the activities whenever you can. More next week on this. CHOIR PICNIC The Greenwood-Ringwood parish choir family picnic will be on Thursday, June 14, at 7 p.m. at the home of Art and Katy Christopher. DIAL A PRAYER 1-385-1234 When the first thrill of being out of school begins to fade and children are looking for something to do, the MS society is prepared with suggestions on how they may have fun and benefit multiple sclerosis at the same time through running their own Super Sunshine Circuses. Youngsters between 5 and 15 years old are invited to be their own ringmasters at backyard Super Circuses to earn support for MS research and patient services carried out through the Chicago-Northern Illinois chapter. National Multiple Sclerosis society. The activity is planned for June. July and August, with prizes to be awarded for the best circus organizers in September. All "ringmasters" will receive a T-shirt and a coupon for a restaurant chain. A Super Circus is entirely managed by the individual child with suggestions on how to run the event available in a kit from the MS society. The kit includes sample posters, game ideas and « typical an­ nouncements of the event for local newspapers. The ringmaster may add excitement to the event with a sale of handicraft, lemonade and popcorn, old books, records and toys. The children charge an admission fee and a sum for each game played.
