She married Bernard E. Frett June 5, 1917 in Chicago, and he survives. Other sur- > vivors inlude two daughters, Mrs. John (Mary Ann) Coer- ber, McHenry, Mrs. Ron (Carol Ann) Berghage, Grand Rapids, Mich.; four sons, Louis (Shirley), Bernard, Jr,, (Rita), Charles (Louise), all of Westchester, HI., and Eugene (Patricia) of Arlington Heights; 29 grandchildren; six Workers < great-grandchildren, and other Chicaco relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by a brother, Charles; a sister, Mrs. Mary Allabastro; and a grandson. Visitation was scheduled for Tuesday from 2 to 9 p.m. at the George R. 'Justen and Son funeral home, with wake service at 7:45 p.m. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Patrick's Catholic church, with Father Petit officiating. Burial will be in the churchyard cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Dominic's Mission society, 2005 S. Ashland, Chicago. GAYLE D. SAWICKI Gayle D. Sawicki, 41, a McHenry resident for many years, and currently residing at 816 Matthew's trail, Grant township, Ingleside, died in the emergency room of McHenry hospital July 6. She was born Sept. 22,1937, to Edgar and Betty (Western) Lessman, in Ohio, and was a nurse in the ^Highland Park Nursing center. Local arrangements were handled by the George R. Justen and Son funeral home. Funeral was held at the Reed funeral home, Canton Ohio, and burial was in Forest Hills cemetery, Canton, Ohio, ERNEST G. HANISH Ernest G. Hanish, 92, of 3705 W. Maple, McHenry, died Saturday, July 7 at Carestoel Professional Care center. He was born April 6,1887, the son of Wilhelm and Matilda Hanish, in Austria. He served, as a clerk for many years at Buch plumbing and McHenry Ace Hardware, and was a member of St. Patrick's parish. __ by Father Petit. Burial was in St. Patrick's churchyard cemetery. He was born Feb. 8, 1897, in New York, and lived in McHeniry for nineteen years, having come here from Chicago. The deceased was an elec­ trician by trade, and belonged to the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Lodge 48, from byjiis wii Kleiser; the former Anna Kleiser; son, Arthur (Grace) of West Laf- fayette, Ind,; a daughter, Mrs. Chester (Evelyn) Klein of Mount Prospect; four grand­ children ; one great- granddaughter; and a sister, Mrs.'Bert (Kathy) Albright of Utah., Visitation was Monday at the K. K. Hamsher funeral home. Funeral Mass was offered Tuesday at 9 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic church, and burial was in Ridgewood cemetery, DesPlaines. MAGNUS J. ALHSTROMER Magnus J. Ahlstromer II, 61, of 125 Lakeshore drive, Spring Grove, died Saturday, July 7 at Rush Presbyterian- St. Luke's hospital, Chicago. He was born Sept. 1, 1917, in Chicago, and was a member of All Saints Lutheran church, Fox Lake. The deceased was employed as assistant factory manager at Stanadyne, Inc., Bellwood, 111., where he worked for 42 years. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the United States Army Air Force. He was also a former member of the Svithiod singing club of Chicago. He is survived by his widow, the former Ruth Killey; a son, Magnus J. (Yolonda) Ahlstromer III, in the United States Army <*Air Force in Germany; three daughters, Christine of California, Mrs. David (Cynthia) Jones of Oregon, and Candice, at home; two grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Earl (Olive) Fahrenbach Hi Nursing home and was a student at McHenry County college. p.m. at the K. Funeral services were conducted Saturday, July 7, at St. John's Lutheran church in Hebron, and interment was in Linn-Hebron cemetery. Visitation was at Ehorn- Adams funeral home in Hebron. " , JOHN F. OROSZ John F. Orosz, 33, of 615 Madison, Woodstock, and who lived for a time in McHenry, died Saturday, July 7. He was born Nov. 9,1946, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Orosz. He married Deborah Weich- man March 23, 1974, in McHenry, and she survives. Also surviving are two sons, Christopher and Charles, at home, and the father of the deceased. Visitation was held at Schneider, Leucht, Merwin, and Cooney funeral home, where services were conducted Tuesday at 11 a.m. by Reverend Raymond C. Shawl. Interment was in Oakland cemetery. , ROBERT C. RE1TH « Robert C. Reith, 59, of 8617 W. Sunset drive, Wonder Lake, was dead on arrival at McHenry hospital July 5. He was born Sept. 1, 1919 in Btadgeman, Mich., the son of William and Minnie Fisher Reith, and lived in McHenry for cemetery, DesPlaines. Memorials may be made in the name of the deceased to the Heart Fund. DOROTHY HIGHFILL Dorothy Highfill, 79, of McHenry, died Friday, July 6, x in Carestoel. She was born Oct. 28,1899, in New Jersey, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nixon. She married the late Philip (Pete) Highfill Oct. 29, 1966, in Downey, Calif., and he preceded her in death Feb. 3, 1972. The deceased was on- ployed by Motorola, Chicago. Surviving are grandchildren, Mrs. Thomas (Bonnie) Ket- chum of McHenry, Mrs. Michael (Jean) Turner of Sleepy Hollow, 111., Laura lies of Chicago, Lawernce Alloway of Elgin, Paul Boyer and Scott Alloway of Mesa, Ariz.; and twelve great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a brother and sister. Graveside services were held Tuesday at Downey cemetery in Downey, Calif. She was born in McHenry Feb. 17, 1899, the daughter of Henry and Minnie Pomrening Block, and lived here fo twenty- one years, having previously resided in Forest Park. Her husband, William E. Dreyer, preceded her in death Dec. 28, 1972, as did a, son, William L. Dreyer, April 7, 1973. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Joan Dreyer, McHenry; eight grand­ children; eight great­ grandchildren; a brother, Louis Block; and a sister, Elsie Voeltz of McHenry. Visitation was held from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Peter M. Justen and Son funeral home. The funeral will be conducted by pastor Herman- Graef Wednesday, at 2 p.m. in the Zion Lutheran church, and burial will be in Woodland cemetery. He was born inAfalo, March 2, 1910, the son of Math and Mathilda Vogt Glosson, and lived in McHenry all of his life. The deceased worked as a cement mason for Tonyan construction. He belonged to the American Legion Post 491 of McHenry, and St. Mary's Court 594 Catholic Order of Foresters, McHenry, and was a veteran of World War II. He is survived by his wife, the fomer Audrey Rothermel, to whom he was married Dec. 28, 1946 in McHenry.
