THELEN Marie S. Thelen, 82, of 1004 Park street, McHenry, died Tuesday, July 24, in the emergency room of McHenry hospital. She was born in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada March 28, 1897, and has been a resident of the area for eighteen years. Mrs. Thelen belonged to St. Patrick's parish, St. Patrick's Ladies guild and CD of A. She is survived by two daughters-in-law, Mrs. Elmer (Edna Thelen) Dombrowski, McHenry, and Mrs. William (Elizabeth Thelen) Osborn of Carol Stream, 111.; six grand­ children ; ten great­ grandchildren; and a sister, Effie Field of Canada. u She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur in %1956, and by two sons, Peter in 1972, and John. Visitation had been scheduled for 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the George R. Justen and Son funeral home, with Rosary at 4 p.m. and wake service at 8 p.m. Mass of the Resurrection will be offered Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic church, with burial in St. Mary's cemetery. Memorials may be made to the rescue squad. WALTER J. MROCZKA Walter J. Mroczka, 64, of Pistakee Highlands, died Tuesday, July 24, at St. Joseph hospital, Milwaukee; He was born nutrch 7,1915 in Chicago, and 'had been a resident of Pistakee highalnds for thirteen years, and for­ merly of Chicago. The deceased was a machinist by trade,. having been employed by Abrasive Rubber Wheel company of Fox Lake. He is survived by two sons, Thomas of Chicago and Ken­ neth of Prairie Biew; a daughter, Mrs. Richard (Alice) Carl of Antioch; his mother, Mary Mroczka of Milwaukee; six grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Steve (Fritz) Wayda of Milwaukee, and any nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen, in 1978, and a brother, Joseph Moore. Visitation was scheduked at the K.K. Hamsher funeral home foir 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday. Funeral Mass will be ofered at 11 a.m. Friday, at St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic church, Chicago, and burial will be in St. Adalbert cemetery, Niles. MARY STOFFEL Mary Stoffel, 91, Milwaukee, Wise., and formerly a resident of McHenry, died Tuesday, July 24, in St. Ann's nursing home, Milwaukee. She was the daughter of Nicholas and Mary Van Dyke. She was married in McHenry to Martin Stoffel, who died in 1952. A son, Jerome, also preceded her in death. Shufeldt, 71, of 912 N. Madison, Woodstock, mother of Mrs. Eugene (Marilyn) Sthaefer\ of McHenry, died at Valley\Hi nursing home July 25. She was born Aug. 9, 1907, in" Harvard, the daughter of Julius and Alvina Ratzloff Nothnagel. She was married to Fredrick Shufeldt Aug. 30, 1934 in Marengo, and he preceded her in death in June, 1978. She is survived by a son, Allen, of Woodstock; three daughters, Mrs.Eugene (Marilyn) Schaefer of McHenry, Mrs. Kenneth (Ann) Moderback and Paula Shufeldt, both of Woodstock; three grandchildren; a brother, Fredrick Nothnagel of Har­ vard; and a sister, Pauline Nothnagel of Elmhurst. She was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters. Visitation took place Sunday from 3 to 9 p.m. at the Schneider, Leucht, Merwin and Cooney funeral home, and at St. John's Lutheran church Monday, after 9 a.m., where services were conducted at 11 a.m., with Reverend Thomas Park officiating. Burial was n McHenry county Memorial Park cemetery. EDWARD W. GALLAGHER Edward W. Gallagher, 93, of. 7416 Maple drive, Wonder Lake, died July 24 at home. He was born April 30, 1886 in Chicago, the son of James and Mary Dee Gallagher, and was a retired superintendent' for a meat company. His wife, Margaret, preceded him in death Nov. 25, 1972. He is survived by a daughter, Mi*. Harold (Mary) Wilkins of Chicago; two sons, Edward of Wonder Lake and Joseph of Palatine; six grandchildren; |nd by thirteen great­ grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, James; two sisters, Margaret and Mary; and a stepbother, Joseph. Visitation will be Friday evening at Beverly Ridge funeral home, Chicago. Mass will be offered Saturday, and burial will be in Holy Sepulcher cemetery, Worth, 111. Local arrangements were handled by Freund funeral home, Wonder Lake.
