Joe Schlender, formerly of Prospect high school, has taken over from Bill Day, who retired last reason. Schlender brings with him a wealth of experience as a defensive coach, having served in that capacity both at Aurora Central and Prospect high schools. Schlender greeted eight returning lettermen on a squad that numbers around forty-two, and they have been hard at work preparing for their first game at Stevenson high school. The Warriors are not big, by today's standards, but they have a lot of heart, and the spirit is running high at the Warrior camp.
