Wonder Lake ' Anne Sowers 653-9549 Girl Scouts Welcome Twenty ' The Girl Scouts have recently begun their new season with an investiture ceremony to re- dedicate the old members and to welcome the new girls, twenty new girls were welcomed into the troop by receiving their Girl Scout pin. The girls have been learning the Girl Scout promise and law, what they mean, and how they apply to the life of a Girl Scout. r Four new patrol leaders were named. They are Diane Burrell, Allyson Lane, Renee Ruzicka, and Jenny Turner. Two lucky girls celebrated their birthdays with the troop and received a gift from the other girls. They were Juli Deany and Lisa Mills. The girls are making macrame jewelry in the shape of the Girl Scout trefoil. This is a fun project, but also teaches than the different knots they need to know to receive one of their badges- There are now thirty _girls in the troop and Scout Leader Cheri Wright says that adult help would always be ap­ preciated. The girls meet every Wednesday at 3:15, at Nativity Lutheran church hall. YOUNG AT HEARTS WELCOME VISITORS The Oct. 3 meeting of the Young at Hearts was highlighted by a visit from Susie and Gerhardt Scholz. They are former members who have now moved from the area. Their visit was most welcomed. The birthday song was sung to foua> members, Adeline Dolan, Tom Hilliard, Betsy Smith, and Eleanora Willi*, who are all celebrating October birthdays.
