Mike Poper, Kishwaukee district chairman, was Master of Ceremonies and presented appreciation plaques to Clyde Kangas of McHenry, past district commissioner, and to Paul Cobb, also of McHenry, Past district chairman. The honor unit award wait to Packs 131 and 142, and Troop 131, all of McHenry; and Pack 452, Pistakee. Conrad Floeter,, mem bership chairman, informed all scouters that 2,397 boys from Kishwaukee district (which represents McHenry county) were enrolled in the Scouting program as of Oct. 31. Bill Grogg, Finance chairman, presented the sustaining membership enrollment plaques to Paek 142, McHenry, and to Paek 172 of Harvard. Each pack raised $250 for the SME. . Guest speaker was Klasing, director of court services of McHenry county. Director David Burmeister leads the Kantorei, "The Sin; concert. The Kantorei, "The Singing boys of rockford," will perform in concert Sunday, Dec. 16, at St. Mary's church, McHenry, at 5 p.m. The Kantorei (pronounced Kahn'-toe-rye) is composed of boys aged 10 to 18 representing schools in the greater Rockford area. They will perform a program of musical variety ranging from popular standards to musical classics. The choir is in its fifteenth year and is under the direction of David Bur meister, Auburn high school (Rockford) choral director. Burmeister is in his second year as Kantorei director, having succeeded Linden Lundstrom, who founded the choir in 1964. The Kantorei serves as during a goodwill ambassadors and has traveled extensively throughout the United States and abroad. The boys have sung in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Great Britain, Scotland, and Wales, and are planning a tour of Germany in 1982. The program is sponsored by St. Mary's parish, McHenry. Tickets may be obtained in advance from MCC Studies Heat Problem The MCC Board and ad ministration have been working closely with the Capital Development board on possible solutions recurring to problems with the heating and ventilating system. Pierce has recommended the college engage a con sultant to work with the Board committee, study the Jim and Rita Thennes, Fred and Connie Schmidt, Fr. Robert Balog, or at the door. units, propose alternatives and estimate costs of any changes. This information would be used by CDB to draft legislation for funds to complete the improvements.
