Five year old John is thrilled with his new brother who was named after his grand father. The proud grand mothers are Mrs. Rosemary Cartwright and Mrs. Myrtle Hanson of McHenry. CONDOLENCES Our condolences go to Mrs. Helen Crouch who lost her husband, Morris J. Crouch, Nov. 23. Morris was a long time resident of the McHenry area and of the Shores; and he will be sadly missed. His willingness to help out, even with the road work before the village was incorporated, and Iris kind ness in providing flowers and plants around the village hall, will make us all remember him for a long time. LIBRARY HOURS Let me remind you again that the McHenry Shores library will be open three times a week, Mondays from 9:30 to 10 a.m.; Wednesdays from 5:30 to 6 p.m.; and Thursdays from 4 to 4:30 p.m. Remodeling is still going * . .U. w,i* j on at the Village hall annex, but the worst of it is over (hopefully) and we fed that the library can function almost normally. We Have many children's books, especially - for the younger kids; and for the teenagers, (here are many well-known stories, old and new. Romance, adventure, mystery and excitement may be found among the books in the adult section. If you fed that television really' does not offer much these day?;, why don't you curl up with a nice book? BIRTHDAYS Robbie Luerssen is eleven years old today, and Jude LaFranci% is also celebrating another bir thday. Dec. 6 is Paul Grass' trig day, and Vic Lawson has a reason for celebrating Dec. 8.'
