Seek Walrus 'Parents' PLAN CHILDREN'S PROGRAM-A rehearsal for the annual children's Christmas program will be held at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran church, 404 North Green street, McHenry, Sunday, Dec. 9, from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. The program frill be presented to the congregation, parents and friends at 9:15 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 1C. The popular three- year-old program enables one to adopt an animal by underwriting all or part of its food costs for a year, in return for which there is a package of benefits. En­ thusiasm for the program has been high and many parents make special trips out to Brookfield to visit their adopted animals. Olga's keepers think this would be just the ticket for her, especially given the fact that she is now not only the zoo's most expensive animal to feed but also one of its most sociable. Kelly John Newman Club Serves The Newman club of McHenry County college is a Catholic organization on campus. The Newman community is geared toward people who care about other people - fellow students, older folk and children. In the past few months the Newman club sponsored a volleyball Marathon for Life. They raised several hundred dollars for the Pro-Life cause.
