Deaths FKANK E. EHREDT Frank E. Ehredt, 89, of route 60, Round Lake, 111., died Monday, Dec. 24, at'St. T h e r e s e h o s p i t a l , Waukegan. He was -born Aug. 6, 1890, in Joe Davies county, HI. Mr. Ehredt married Sarah Rath Aug. 17, 1915, in Carol county, 111., and lived in Round Lake for the past 43 years. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran church in Round Lake Park; the tirbyslake Seniors;. Lake CountjTTarm Bureau and the Freedom Academy of Lake county! Mr. Ehredt was a retired farmer, and a salesman for the Durfee Brothers Roofing company of Woodstock. .... Survivors include his wife, Sarah; two sons, Vernon (Antonie) of McHenry and Melvin (Elsie) of Round Lake; five daughters, Frances (Ralph) Thurow, Crystal Lake; Lucille (Herbert) Larson, North Plainfield, N. J.; Lillian Behrens, Hebron; Bernice and Mae Ehredt of Round Lake: twelve grand­ children; seven great grandchildren; one sister, Louisa Schultie, of Dubuque, Iowa and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Doris Ann Grant and a grandspn, Thomas Grant. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 27, at St. Paul's Lutheran church, with Reverend Mat-tin Lopahs officiating, and burial followed in McHenry County Memorial Park cemetery. 6 Visitation was scheduled at the MacGillis funeral home, Round Lake, 111. after 4 p.m. v» Wednesday. Memorials may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran church or the American Heart association. KEVIN MURPHY Kevin Murphy, 17-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Murphy of Kent, Wash., was killed in the collision of his car and another vehicle last Friday evening as he was enroute home from work. Kevin and his family made their home in the McHenry community for several' years, during which time he a t t e n d e d J o h n s b u r g elementary school and McHenry high school. Survivors include his parents, Thomas and Joan (Weber) Murphy; seven sisters and brothers, Maureen Koeppen of Lake Zurich, Mike and Shawn of Seattle; Colleen, T.J., Brian and Eileen, all at home. Othef" survivors include his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Weber, and an aunt and uncle, Mr .and Mrs. William Neumann, Jr., of McHenry. A funeral Mass and burial will be Saturday in Kent, Wash. r 1 FRANCES DANILOVlCH Mrs. Frances Danilovich, 85, of McHenry and formerly of Crystal Lake, passed away at McHenry hospital Wednesday, Dec. 26. She was born April 2, 1894, in C z e c h o s l o v a k i a , - t h e daughter^of Mr. and Mrs. Rocak. She was married to the late Robert J. Danilovich, who preceded her in death in January, 1970. Mrs. Danilovich is sur­ vived by three daughters, Mrs. Erdman (Jane) Roewer, McHenry; Mrs/ Adam (Sophe) Lutz, Crystal Lake and Mrs. Frank (Rose) Kasper, Cape Coral, Fla.; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren and a Liquor Charges Precede New Year Celebrations In this time of hoopla and festivity, intoxication ap­ pears to be the order of the day. Lynda Ziebel of 4814 Wilmot road, McHenry, called the police when Eugene Kennepp of 916 River terrace, McHenry, came to her home in­ toxicated and refused to leave. Kennepp was still at the residence when the Sheriff's police arrived. The police told Kennepp that he was in no shape to drive and they would make arrangements to take him home, according to the report. Kennepp got into his car and drove off. After the police stopped his car, Kennepp was arrested for driving while intoxicated and driving without a valid license. Bond was set at $1,035. On Dec. 22, the Sheriff's police responded to a report of a car in a ditch at the intersection of Route 120 and Wonder Lake road. When the police arrived they arrested Thomas Morgan of Wonder Lake for driving while intoxicated and driving in violation of a restricted license with bond set at $1,035. The same night, the Sheriff's police were again called to Route 120 and E. Wonder Lake road after a report of a possible traffic accident with injuries. The police arrived at the scene and found no accident, but they did find an in­ toxicated pedestrian. Glenn Gondeck of Wonder Lake was arrested as an intoxicated pedestrian on the roadway. Bond was set at $35. On Dec. 24, the Sheriff's police met with Kane county police at a gas station near brother, Anton Rocak, of Chicago. » Ih addition tolfer husband, three children and her parents also preceded her ih death. While a patrol car was parked at $he intersection of River road and Route 120, the officer heard breaking glass at Don's Dairy Frost. The officer saw a "male •subject" standing near five broken windows and pursued the man on foot. William Fort, 17, of 3103 Route 120, McHenry, was arrested for criminal damage to property over $150 with bond set at $5,000. That suspicion led to the Dec. 22 arrest of a Wonder Lake man who reportedly admitted syphoning gasoline from the vehicle's tank. Shirley Henig of Antioch, 111., called the McHenry County Sheriff's police when she saw a white car parked next to her van while she was visiting a friend in Wonder Lake. When she came out of the house, the car drove away and she followed the car to Chippewa drive in Wonder Lake. The driver remained inside the car. When the Sheriff's police arrived, they found a piece of hose protruding from the gas tank of the van. The driver of the car, Theodore Horn, 18, of Wonder Lake admitted that he was attempting to syphon gas from the van, according to the report. Horn was arrested for theft under $150 with bond set at $1,000. On Cristmas Eve, James Magro of 2314 Church street, McHenry, reported the theft of his 1975 Chevrolet from the driveway of his home. Someone apparently tried to steal the tires off a car at the Wonder Lake home of Paul Amundsen. When the Sheriff's police arrived, they found the hubcaps removed from the rear wheels and left on the ground near the vehicle. Where a tire thief failed at Amundsen's, one succeeded at the home of Frank Smoley, also of Wonder Lake. Someone stole the rear tires off Smoley's car while it was parked at the residence. While the car was parked at Changes Disco on Route 31, someone broke the left front window of the vehicle and stole a tape player. The car and tape player belonged to James Delelio of 5501 Cleveland, McHenry. In preparation for winter, someone entered the open garage of Scott Griffling, Wonder Lake, and stole a snow thrower. Also in Wonder Lake, Thomas Cashin went to his garage to look for his chain saw but found it missing. In addition, a tool box con ­ taining socket wrenches, a Skil saw and two fishing rods and reels were taken from the garage. Robert Williams of -Wonder Lake reported that someone had cut down and t taken away a large evergreen tree from his property. The Ringwood home of Samuel Figaro was broken into and searched on Dec. 21. The offenders looked through several rooms and stole a microwave oven, a wristwatch and an electric shaver, s Someone cut a screen and opened the door to the Zephyr gas station at the intersection of River road and Route 120 and stole 10 plastic windshield, scrapers and four 12-ounce cans of gasline antifreeze.
