CHARLES COPLEY BRIDEGROOM SANG - During the ceremony Dec. 9, when marriage promises were exchanged between the former Renee Stilling and Charles Copley, the groom sang the wedding song, "There'ls Love" to his future wife. The bride is the daughter of Ray and Adele Stilling, McHenry. Mrs. Stella Brenizer, Alamogordo, New Mexico, is the mother of the groom. The couple stood beneath a trellis covered with burgandy tipped white carnations before the Reverend Catherine C. Collitan, who officiated at the wedding held in T. C. Spirits restaurant in Crystal Lake. The matron of honor was Laurette Shadle, Crystal Lake, and Reechele Stilling, McHenry was the bridesmaid. Best man was Hector Portillo, Crystal Lake, and Christofer Franklin, Cary, was the groomsman. A reception for 125 guests immediately followed at the restaurant. The newly weds are living in Crystal Lake, after taking a honeymoon trip through the West. The bride is a secretary in Crystal Lake, and the groom is the owner of Copley Roofing, Crystal Lake. They both attend McHenry County college part-time. FEBRUARY 16 Fox Ridge Women's club- couples Valentine potluck dinner-home of Mrs. Judy Klebs-5001 Abbington. Host Women's Clubs The McHenry Women's club hostessed the mid­ winter meeting of the 4th District of the Illinois Federation of Women's clubs Jan. 21. Mrs. Evelyn Elmore, president of the McHenry club welcomed all the clubwomen present and a silent prayer was said by everyone for the hostages overseas. The guest speaker, Mrs. Paul (Lou) Brown, IFWC State C.I.P. chairman, was introdbced. She spoke on annual reporting and the many ways to help in volunteer services. The roll call, taken by Corky LaPinta, revealed 76 women present. Clubs at- t e n d i n g i n c l u d e d Algonquinn, Belvidere Jrs., Belvidere Srs., Cary, Crystal Lake, Garden Prairie, Lotus C o u n t r y , M a r e n g o , McHenry, North Suburban, Richmond, Whispering Oaks, Wonder Lake and Woodstock. Announcements were made of new projects for 1980-81, including a program on Juvenile Diabetes at the Apr. 1 meeting and a quilt comprised of a block made by each of the 20 clubs. ' The nominting committee advised the group of the new slate of officers and elections will take place at the next meeting. Mrs. Smith presented a 75th Anniversary scroll to the Woodstock W. C. on behalf of the state president. Auctioneers, Clara Jensen and Frances Heinemann conducted a white elephant auction and a luncheon followed. The next meeting will be held Apr. 1 in Loves Park, with the North Suburban Womens' club as hostess.
