The monies will be used for Learning center resources, instructional materials and equipment for the elementary schools. The allotment for secondary schools will be used for upgrading lab materials and equipment for basic science courses. This is an increase of $600 over last year's funding. Dr. Falkinham sum- The 1980 tax bills are being readied for distribution, and it is the understanding that some house numbers are being changed in the Wonder Lake area. Any property owner whose house number has been changed should contact the county Collector's office at Woodstock. Green St. 385-5500 McHenry EDWARD v. SCHULTZ Edward V. Schultz, 1905 N. Rogers avenue, Lakeland Park, McHenry, died Thursday morning, Feb. 14, at the McHenry hospital. He was 62, born in Chicago Sept. 23, 1917, the son of Edward and Lena Schultz. Mr. Schultz lived in McHenry twenty-two years, having come from Chicago. Survivors include his wife, Florence (Tomlin) Schultz; one son, Edward Schultz, of McHenry; two grandsons, Jeffrey and David Schultz. Pastor Roger W. Schneider, of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran church, officiated at funeral services held Saturday, 11 a.m., at the Peter M. Justen & Son funeral home. Burial took place in Ringwood cemetery. DENNIS R. AYLWARD Dennis R. Aylward, 30, of 1804 Riverside drive, McHenry, died Feb. 14, in McHenry hospital. He was born March 10, 1949, in Chicago, the son of Thomas J. and Wilma H. (Best) Aylward. Mr. Aylward is survived by his mother, Wilma; two sisters, Mrs. Noel (Patricia) Pari si, Sunnyside and Mrs. "Jose (Kathleen) Sanchez, McHenry; a twin brother, Daniel, Pistakee Bay; three other brothers, Don, Car- pentersville; Bill, Wonder Lake; Carl, Pistakee Highlands and Jack, Sacramento, Cal. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas J. in 1977 and a brother, Thomas, in 1973. Visitation was Friday from 4 to 9 p.m. at the George R. Justen & Son funeral home. A funeral Mass was held Saturday, 11 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic church, with burial in St. Mary's cemetery. LILLIAN E. BAUER Lillian E. Bauer, a longtime McHenry resident, passed away Friday, Feb. 15, at the Woodstock Residence. She was 76, bom in the McHenry area Oct. 7, 1903, the daughter of John S. and Helen (Michels) Freund. A brother, Ben Freund, Lake Geneva, Wis., sur­ vive?. Her husband, Fe (Fred) J. Bauer Trombones The eighteenth annual mid-winter band concert at West campus will spotlight four outstanding trombone players. The concert at § p.m. Thursday, Feb. 21, will include "Folk Song Suite", by R.V. Williams; "Pageant" by V. Persichetti; "Symphonic Psalm" by C.T. Smith, and a march by J.P. Sousa entitled "Free Lance". The popular West campus stage band will also be included on the concert wfth "Blute for An Elm", by Steve Wright, "Sounds of the Beatles", and "Hot Enough". MILLET Irene B. Millet, age 77, died Sunday, Feb. 17, in the Harvard hospital. She was born Aug. 25, 1902, in Chicago and was a former bookkeeper. Mrs. Millet was a professional bowler (under the name of Uhlmann) with the Budweiser team, in the late 1930's and early 1940's. She is instituted in the Women Bowlers Hall of Fame. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Byron C. (Hildegarde) Otto, of Sun­ nyside, with whom she made her home; three grand­ children; five great grand­ children; two sisters, Mrs. Bessie Bezina, McHenry and Mrs. Lillian Dvorak, Chicago. Sussex drive, McHenry, died at his home Monday, Feb. 18. He was 91 years old, born in Byron, 111., Feb. 29, 1888, the son of John and Elizabeth (Bates) Helsdon. Mr. Helsdon lived in McHenry nine years, having come from Bensenville, 111.. He was a freight conductor for the Milwaukee Road, retiring in 1958, after fifty- five years of service. He wqs preceded in death by his wife, Ruth L. (Moore) Helsdon March 7,1975, and a son, Willard. Survivors include a daughter, Nyna (Norman) Hoym, of McHenry, two grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, 11 a.m., at the Peter M. Justen & Son funeral home, with Pastor Herman Graef, of the Zion Lutheran church of­ ficiating. Burial will be in Mt. Emblem cemetery, Elmhurst. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. SCHILD Charles William Schild, 77 years old, of 8605 Ramble road, Wonder Lake, passed a^py Monday, Feb. 18, at hospital to Charles and Armanda (Krumreich) Schild. Mr. Schild married Eleanor Fallon, July 18, 1931, in Villa Park, 111. He was a retired' die setter formerly employed by the Continental Can company. His wife, Eleanor, Wonder Lake, survives, as well as one daughter, Mrs. Lenora Brown, North Aurora; one son, Charles, New Jersey; five grandchildren; one brother, Alfred E., Lom­ bard ; and two sisters, Mrs. Mercedes E. Lee, Villa Park and Mrs. Armanda Lee, Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents. Friends may call from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, at the Freund funeral home, Wonder Lake. A funeral Mass is scheduled Thursday, 10 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic church with Father Dorrance Tranel officiating, and burial will be in the church cemetery. ALICE V. FLEMING Alice V. Fleming, 1306 N. Front street, McHenry, died Saturday, Feb. 16, at McHenry hospital. She was 91 years old, born in London, England, Feb. 11, 1889, to Thomas and Mary (Quirk) Fleming. Miss Fleming lived in McHenry the past four years, having come from •Chicago. She was a retired ticket clerk for Sears Roebuck and company. LOUISE STILLING WAHL An automobile accident resulted in the death of Louise Stilling Wahl Friday morning, Feb. 15. She formerly resided at 1914 N. Orchard, Beach road, McHenry. Mrs. Wahl was 59 years old, born in Chicago Oct. 18, ?1920, the daughter of George A. and Grace (Moelman) Stilling. She had lived in McHenry all of her life, and was employed as a jewelry salesperson. Survivors include three sons, Frederick, Wisconsin Rapids, Wis.; Robert C., Barrington and Kenneth A., Ingleside, ; two daughters, Mrs. Ann L. Simon, McHenry and Linda (Bert) Stittgen, McHenry. Ten grandchildren and a brother, Robert Stilling, of Elgin, also survive. A funeral Mass was conducted Tuesday, 10 a.m., at St. Patrick's Catholic church, McHenry with burial in Forest Home cemetery, Forest Park, 111. Visitation was from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday and 3 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Peter M. Justen & Son funeral home. IRENE B. FUNK Irene B. Funk, 58, a resident of the rural Hebron area, formerly of Fox Lake, passed away Friday, Feb. 15, at Memorial hospital for McHenry county, Wood­ stock. She was born in Waukegan, Nov. 14,1921, the daughter of Joel and Ger­ trude (Prince) Miller. Mrs. Funk is survived by five sons, Richard F. Kerrigan, Wheeling; Francis R. Kerrigan, Chicago; James F. Funk, Wonder Lake; Charles E. Funk and Ronald E. Funk both of Zenda, Wis.; a daughter, Ruth Ann (Jerry) Hummel, Harvard and eight grandchildren. She is also survived by her mother, Gertrude Miller, Prairie View, 111., three brothers and eight sisters. Funeral services were held Monday, 11 a.m. at the Peter M. Justen & Son funeral home, with in­ terment in Windridge cemetery, Cary. LORRAINE EDINGER Lorraine Edinger, 73, of McHenry, died Sunday, Feb. 17 at McHenry hospital. She was born in Evanston, 111., Sept. 27,1906 and had been a resident of McHenry since 1969, formerly of Barrington. Mrs. Edinger was a member of the Royal Order of Moose, McHenry, and Eastern Star Lodge of Elgin. Her husband, Edward, preceded her in death in 1968. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Jacqueline Ullman, Mercer, Wis.; Mrs. Leatrice Walter, Mission Viejo, Cal. and Mrs. Patricia Langhurst, Frankfort, 111.; two sons, Edward R. of McHenry and Michael of Wauconda; seventeen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Funeral, services were held Monday at the Stirlen- Pieper funeral home, Barrington, with the Reverend Robert Kasper officiating. Burial took place in Evergreen cemetery, Barrington. SERVICE NEWS Airman Graduates From Mechanics Class Airman Edward R. Bruser Jr., son of Edward R. Bruser of 1504 Nakomis terrace, McHenry, has graduated from the U.S. Air Force special vehicle mechanic course at Chanute Air Force base, Rantoul. Graduates of the course earn credits toward an associate degree in applied science through the Com­ munity college of the air Force. Airman Bruser learned how to inspect, service and repair special vehicles used by the Air Force. He is being assigned to Beale Air Force Base, Calif.
