PURCHASES HAVE LITTLE IMPACT The Commodity Credit corp. (CCC) purchased 281,349 bushels of corn recently at an overall average of $2.40 per bushel. Though the purchase was an effort to help relieve congestion in the market pipeline and boost prices for farmers, some agricultural economists say the CCC's purchases had little impact.
