Warriors Meet Streaks In Regional Tonight Coach Ken Ludwig and his McHenry Warriors will play Woodstock tonight at 7:30 p.m. in Woodstock in the second game of the Wood stock regional. Last night the number one seeded Belvidere 9 and 14 opened play against Hononegah 8 and 16, with the winner to play Friday night at 7:30 p.m. The Warriors 17 and 8 on the season are still smarting by the 64 to 63 defeat at the hands of the Streaks a couple of weeks ago. The Streaks 8 and 15 and winner of 4 of their last five games will have the home court ad vantage, although the Warriors won by 13 at Woodstock in January. Tournament play is a new season accbrding to the coaches, so past records and deeds can be thrown out the window. This is true, but the way the Warriors played Friday night, it will take a good team to beat them this week. ; Belvidere is only one of three schools to beat Marengo this year, they also defeated state ranked at the time, Rockford East. They have wins over Rockford West, and Harlem, and no one will question their- play in a tougher league. Hononegah of the Shark conference can play the role of spoiler. They were defeated by Belvidere earlier in the season, 60 to 43. Don't count the Indians out of it; they are capable of pulling an upset. The tourney teams are balanced, and although there are no contenders for the state title at Woodstock, it should be. an interesting week of basketball play.
