MR. AND MRS. JAMES JANSEN MARK FIFTY YEARS OF MARRIAGE - Mr. and Mn. James Jensen, of 2109 N. Woodlawn park, McHenry, celebrated their .fiftieth wedding anniversary March 1. A surprise party at Andres Steak House in Richmond was given in their honor by their daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Joe Kramer and children of Santa Fe, New Mexico, and their daughter-in-law, Debra Jansen of Deerfield, 111. The dinner was also attended by Mrs. Jansen's sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Gene Sprague of Hartville, Wyo., and fifty relatives and close friends from the Chicago, suburban and McHenry areas. Members of the Woodshed Whirlers Square Dance club of Johnsbnrg, also surprised the Jansens with a fiftieth anniversary party at the regular dance in February. MR. AND MRS. JOHN SKIDMORE CELEBRATE FORTY YEARS - The children of Mr. and Mrs. John Skidmore will host an Open House Sunday, March 16, at the Skidmore home, Ringwood, from 1 to 4 p.m. Friends and relatives are invited to celebrate the Skidmores' fortieth anniversary. Fernstrom, Sorority Has Guests Five guests were present at the recent meeting of Pi Alpha chapter of Beta Sigma Phi. held at the home of Pam Doherty Guests attending were Marie Lukowski. Margaret Smith. Peggy Waelchli, and Candy Smulski, all of McHenry. and Diane Cashen, of Woodstock. They received a corsage of a s i n g l e y e l l o w r o s e a n d baby's breath; the single yellow rose is the symbol of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. Judith DeWulf presented a p r o g r a m d e s c r i b i n g t h e purpose and activities pf Beta Sigma Phi and also gave a brief talk on what belonging to Beta Sigma Phi has meant to her. Pi Alpha Chapter's scrapbook was also on display for the guests. The cultural program for the evening was on personal beauty. A cosmetic d e m o n s t r a t i o n w a s presented in which everyone participated. A pleasant, enjoyable evening was had by all. The next meeing of Pi Alpha chapter of Beta Sigma Phi will be March 13. at the home of Kathi Etten. The program for the evening will be "Beauty Alive", presented by Pam Doherty.
