Stretch Food Dollars A program intended to help senior citizens stretch their food dollars is planned by the McHenry County Farm Bureau Women's committee March 17 at the Farm Bureau building in Woodstock. Mrs. Nancy Moore, McHenry County Extension Adviser, will demonstrate an easy way to make and freeze meat loaf and how to change the flavor with spices and-or sauces. "It can be a different meal each time," she ex­ claims. Mrs. Moore will show how to select the best leanest and most flavorful cuts for low budgets and a slide film on nutrition will be included. The program will start at 9:30 a.m., a community service of Farm Bureau, with no admission charge. Farm Bureau Women's committee members will give recipes that make servings for one or tWo people, in addition to the meat loaf recipe. Thirty-five year mem­ bership pins were awarded to Eleanor Althoff, Lillian Bolger, Teresa Cairns, Lenore Cooley, Elvera Durland, Delia Freund, Mary Freund, Vera Hensley, Ercel Lock, Minnie Meyer, Signa Miller, Isabelle Thompson, Catherine Weber and Lura Yanda. Lillian Braidwood and Anna Thennes received thrity-year pins. The gals were congratulated for a 'job well done'. , A Junior Graduation ceremony was conducted by the officers of the Unit and Mary Beth Barry, Dawn Latimer, Christine Lenz and Patricia Paulin, having attained the age of eighteen, are now members of the Senior Auxiliary. The dinner was prepared and served by the members of the McHenry Rifle Squad with Bernie Matchen, Howie Paulin and Ed Reid in charge of the cooking.
