She arrived the Friday before Easter and sincerely ap­ preciated the cards and visits from family and friends. BIRTHDAYS AND DINNER The Low clan celebrated all of the April birthdays in the family on Sunday, along with Easter Sunday dinner, in the Robert Low home in McHenry. Those adding another year to their age were Susie Low, April 11; Doris Low, April 9; plus Linda Billikas in Dubuque, Iowa, April 14. Everyone sang Happy Birth­ day to Linda by phone. An Easter egg hunt was in order (it being Easter) and everyone had to find the egg with his own name on it. Those enjoying the day were Susie's father, Leslie Olsen; Walt & Alice Mae Wilcox, Woodstock; Patti and Dan Kehoe and little Robin, Elkhorn; Sue Madey and Donna, Eddie and Marcy Erwin, Hebron; Tom Low and friend Sherry; Ray Low; Dan Hansen; Patti Miller and Lee and Scott; and, of course, Walt and Doris Low. A delicious dinner was enjoyed by all with a beautiful birthday cake. EASTER HAPPENINGS Easter dinner guests of Bernie and Pat Klapperich in Pistakee Highlands were Bernie's parents, the John Klapperichs and Pat's parents, the Bedfords. Greg and Karen Bazilwitch entertained Karen's father, Warren Kirwan of Villa Park, and his friend, Jane Conners of River Grove for dinner, Easter Sunday. Karen's brother, Ed, and Rose Kirwan and family of Lake Villa were also there to enjoy the festivities. ' TWO NEW KIDS We have two new kids (baby goats) born in the neighborhood two days before Easter. At this writing they do not have names, but I'm sure the family will soon come up with appropriate ones. They are keeping the Bazilwitch family very busy, as they have to be fed from the bottle. WHAT S NEW The First United Methodist church of McHenry will host a concert to be given at 5 p.m. April 20 by the com­ bined young adult and senior choirs of the Trinity African Methodist Episcopal church of Waukegan . The concert will be held in the new sanctuary of the McHenry church, located at the corner of Main and Center streets, and will feature sacred and secular music, including anthems, gospel, spiritual, and songs from Broadway musicals. * The use of brass, percussion, string and woodwind in­ strument adds a beautiful new dimension to the music. The participants, both vocal and instrumental, are under the direction of Mrs. .Aminita Patterson Sparks. Mrs. Sparks will be assisted by Miss Donitha Tolen, band director in North Chicago School District 64. Members of Trinity A.M.E. church's young adult and senior choirs have been active in the annual con­ ference of the A.M.E. church, and have par­ ticipated in the church's general conference in Atlanta, Ga. They have sung at shopping centers, Great i Lakes Naval station, the Downey Veteran's hospital, and at churches throughout Illinois, Wisconsin, Iowa and Indiana. y- The McHenry church feels.
