HP learned at the town meeting that steps should be taken at once to insure swift action from those officials. HP was told that a crime should be reported at once to the police; if no'action is taken, consult States At­ torney Ted Floro. In the case of the cat castration, it filled 1 all of the requirements needed for investigation and prosecution. It was reported at once to the police who did nothing. HP mentioned the case at the town meeting and still no one showed interest. HP has since written a letter , and called several times to inquire from States Attorney Florowhat has been done with ° the evidence received by him about the cat burner. He has not found it necessary to respond. It is therefore HP's con­ clusion that if McHenry county fails, there certainly must be other avenues. SCOUT NEWS Pack 162 Cub Scout Pack 162 held its monthly meeting at the American Legion hall April. 24 to finalize plans for the upcoming Scout Ou Rama. Cubmaster John Grandt, den mothers and Webelos leader have been busy helping the Scouts prepare to demonstrate their leather handicrafts at Scout O' Rama Saturday, May 3, from 1 to 8 p.m. at the Woodstock fairgrounds. All Scouts have been selling tickets to family members, neighbors and friends and hope to everyone there! Tickets can still be pur­ chased at the door. Children are free. Achievement awards were presented to Den 2. Andy Wiley became a Webleo and Scott Sawin, recruiter patch; Den 5, Marc Man­ ning, Wolf patch and a gold arrow; Den 7, Jay Gorham, Wolf patch and Bear book; Tom Gaylord, gold arrow. Webelos leader Art Kreutzer was very proud to present Richard Argy with Citizen, Sportsman, Traveler, Craftsman and Webelo patches along with an Arrow of Light and his 3-year service star. Dale Kluesner received his Artist patch. Entertainment for the evening was begun by den mother, Mrs. Einweck, who led in singing and acting out her favorite Scout songs. Den mother, Mrs. Johnson, and her Scouts from Den 2 presented the skit, "The Three Trees". The talented young actors were Marc Johnson, Brian Mann, Brian Kreutzer, John Meisner, Scott Sawin and Jason Haegler. Refreshments of juice, coffee and goodies followed the skit.
