Tickets are being issued to those who have failed to purchase their stickers. The deadline was Feb. IS, 1980; a date long past! Complaints are coming in from those who have been ticketed, but vehicle tags were available since Dec. 1, 1979, giving everyone ample time in which ^.to purchase them. Ordinance ^3-4 regardling licensing of motor vehicles in the Village of Sunnyside reads, "Sec. 7: Upon issuan ce of said license the village clerk shall deliver to the applicant a gummed tag or sticker which will bear the owner's registration number and the identity of the village. "It shall be the duty of the applicant to affix such tag or sticker in a conspicuous place upon the motor vehicle. It.shall be unlawful for any motor vehicle although duly licensed to be used upon the streets., avenues or alleys of the village unless such tag or sticker is attached thereto. "Also in accordance with this ordinance, a party in violation of said ordinance or any provisions therein may be fined not more than $100 for each offense." So even if you have pur chased a sticker, but have not displayed the sticker on your vehicle you are still in violation of said ordinance.
