LILYMOOR PLANS - RUMMAGE SALE Keen interest was ex pressed by many Lilymoor residents at the monthly association meeting June 2. The big fund raiser planned for June 20 and 21, will be a rummage sale, to be held in a garage in Jim Johnson's property on route 120. Donations should be brought to the sale on Friday, and chairlady Deidra Kent, 344-1909, asks that items be priced as the donor is more aware of the value. Donations of crafts and baked goods will also be appreciated. Judy Brizzi and P.J. Odarczenko, committee members may also be contacted for information. Jim Johnson will again be checking roads in need of gravel. Glenwood is a paved road needing coal?patch repair at a minimum cost of $250. Gravel will not improve Glenwood. RemoVal of dead trees and downed branches came under discussion. In emergency cases, where roads are obstructed, Paul Kent, 344-1909 or Jim Johnson may be contacted. Persons with tree problems should come to the next meeting of the association, in order to make problems known. The pen sale held last month was successful and added a plus amount to the treasurer's report. The spraying for mosquitoes was tabled until the next meeting, as the high cost of chemicals is not affordable by the association at this time. The Lilymoor Association needs the support of all persons living in the Sub division, in order that all may benefit. Help with the rummage sale, help by paying dues, help by coming to the meetings. Mark your calendar for the next one on July 7. PARADEDEBUT Joe DeMarco of Fritzsehe estates, added amusement to the Harvard Day Milk parade with his "Cootie". Joe has .generated a lot of surprise and plain fun, with his creation of a super beetle out of an old Volkswagon. Seeing this black and yellow bug complete with black antennae, chugging down Lily Lake road, makes everyone chuckle. Last Saturday's parade was the more -enjoyable for Joe's entry. The winners of the games were Sophie Paterson first, Julia second, Jean third, and president Para earning the booby. ADD A YEAR , Troy Foss celebrates his birthday June 11. Route 120, Lilymoor, NATURE NOTES Watching our world awaken last Wednesday morning, gave an added joy. Not 30 feet from my picture window, stood a doe with a coat of burnished bronze. With her soulful brown eyes always watchful for danger, she stepped ever so lightly among the wild grasses, and without a sound disap peared. That one of God's wild creatures can still be found in our scientific and machine world, gives a feeling of joy and a hope for man's sur vival in spite of himself.
