Court street, McHenry, wi|l celebrate her ninetieth birthday June 17. She is one of ten children born to the late Anne Worts and Michael Wagner of Volo. Although bom in Lake cotinty, she lived in McHenry most of her life. Tillie and Peter Engeln were married in 1917, in Elgin, and had three daughters, LaVergne Meek of McHenry; Lorraine Melsek of Alva, Fla. and Bettie Rode of McHenry. She has two grandsons, three granddaughters and four great-granddaughters. Her five brothers included the late,Ted, Pete and John; Joe of Zion and Bill of McHenry. Her four sisters are the late Agnes Peterson and Helen Wegener; Catherine Paddock of Aurora and Martha Rothermel of McHenry. Mrs. Engeln is quite ac tive. She enjoys playing cards, and bingo; has crocheted many beautiful afghans; and visits with her many relatives and friends are her greatest source of enjoyment. She is a warm, friendly and giving person, and her family is very proud of her.
