Doctor Of Ministry Advance Degree To Presbyterian Castor PAGES' I Senior Hot Line The Rev. Eric J. Snyder of Faith Presbyterian church recently received the Doctor of Ministry degree from San Francisco Theological seminary.* The degree climaxed three \ears of in­ tensive study for Dr. Snyder which included ihe writing of 10 25-page papers on various aspects of ministry, spen­ ding two summers in residence at San Francisco seminary, and ihe writing of a lengthy dissertation. ^ When asked about the course of study, he com­ mented^ "it was a long, but most rewarding experience. It enhanced my abilities in many areas, particularly counseling and ad­ ministration. I am very thankful to the church for allowing me the time away." Faith church, which Mr. Snyder serves, in the years 1977-80 has been the fastest growing Presbyterian church in itfe" State of Illinois, doubling in at­ tendance. It "offers a variety of Bible studies, groups for every age group, an ex­ cellent Sunday school and special seasonal programs. It is also the home of the Joyful Noise Christian pre­ school which will be opening in the fall. Summer worship services are at 9:30 a.m. with a sermon discussion following ihe service. Police To Continue Holiday CARE Program The Illinois state police will once again participate in the National Combined^, Accident Reduction Efftfrt (Operation C.A.R.E.) for the fourth of July, the second summer holiday. Operation C.A.R.E. is a 48- state police effort to try and reduce the fatalities during holidays. The fourth of July holiday period will run from 6 p.m. Thursday, July 3 through midnight, Sunday, July 6. During this time the patrols on certain highways ' Will be saturated to try to ^ cuf down on any problems that might happen. "Each state can designate "'it* own C.A.R.E. routes, and in Illinois, the following have been selected by the Illinois. How does that work? A. Tenants in .these buildings contribute between IS and 25 percent of their gross household income toward (heir rent. The new machine provides versatility in the staff's capabilities of serving patients, Pesce said.
