Naval Reserve Captain nds Defense Course Henry S. Reinke, a Cap­ tain in the United States Naval reserve and a resident of McHenry has completed the two-week Defense Strategy course while on active duty for training at' the National Defense university. The Defense Strategy course is a professional military education program for senior Reserve and National Guard component officers. The program focuses on the study of national security, the for­ mulation and conduct of national strategy, and the relationships between resource management and policy objectives. Captain Reinke is one of some 400 senior officers chosen from the National Guard "and from the Army, Navy, Marine corps, Air force and Coast Guard1 Reserves to attend the course this yea'r. • Lieutenant General R (i Gard, Jr.,. Elm Street • IW.1M) Across tht strstf ft iininnrn CHARGE IT One-Car Crash Injures Three Residents A one-car collision left three young McHenry residents injured last Thursday mor­ ning along Ringwood road. Dennis Suchor/ Lisa Wirtz and John Metz were taken to McHenry hospital after the car they were traveling in vaulted into the air and some trees along the road. The McHenry Fire depar­ tment was called to put out* a fire which ignited soon after the car landed. The three occupants were thrown clear of the vehicle. The McHenry Rescue squad stabilized the con­ dition of the three injured people and tran­ sported them to McHenry hospital. Ms. Wirtz was transferred to Northwest Community hospital Thursday. Suchor is listed in satisfac­ tory condition at McHenry hospital and Metz was discharged. Suchor was unable to make a statement to the police regarding the accident and how it happened.
