Shakespeare Festival: The grounds of Ewing Manor, Emerson and Towanda streets in Bloomington, takes on the appearance of merry, old England when the Theater department of Illinois State university presents three of Shakespeare's plays in repertory: "A Midsummer Night's Dream," "The Merry Wives of Windsor," and Romeo and Juliet." Lin­ coln," returns to the outdoor stage at Lincoln's New Salem State Historic site for its fifth season. Joining it will be a new play, "Abraham Lincoln Walks at Midnight," the story of how' three Illinois poets struggled to .capture the spirit of Lincoln and America. City of Joseph: A cast of ._ 100 chronicles Nauvoo's history and the Mormon era of Joseph Smith and Brigham Young.
