At the varsity level, McHenry captured a second, third , fifth, sixth, seventh and tenth place in the three- mile run to give the Warriors 23 points, while Grant gathered 33 in taking a iirst, fourth, eighth, ninth and eleventh place. Brian Wright came in first for McHenry and second overall behind Kroll of Grant who paced the Held with a time of 16:53.Wade Cepulis came in third, Gordy Bourney,a fifth, Don Mitacek a sixth, and Joe Mullen came in seventh. The pusher was Pat Haderly, who came in tenth for the Warriors. In the frosh-soph meet, Darren Cepulis led the padk with a time of 18:46 on the three-mile course, with Roland Ostrander taking fourth. Don Bull took seventh and set the McHenry total at 17 while Grant gathered 41 in defeat. The girls, having only four runners, beat Grant 19-36 with Mary Bazan coming in at 12:55 in the 1.8 mile course. Sue Pender took second, Beth Lance took third and Barb Zuber came in fourth for McHenry.
