STAFF PHOTOS/WAYNE GAYLORD For Volunteers Family Stress Orientation The Family Stress Line is conducting an orientation for volunteers interested in providing support and assistance to families under stress. The Family Stress Line (344-3944) is designed to provide emotional support and assistance in developing alternate methods for handling a variety of family stresses. Callers may be parents concerned about their angry feelings toward their child or perhaps a battered wife seeking someone who will listen to her problem. Although volunteers are able to staff the Stress Line while at home, the privacy of both the caller and volunteer is protected. The two-part orientation session will be held Monday, Sept. 8, and Monday, Sept. 15, at the Congregational- Universalist church on the corner of Dean and South streets, Woodstock.
