The bride, the former Nancy Elizabeth Hartmann, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George (Jean) Hart­ mann, Jr., 3113 E. Lake Shore drive, Wonder Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Charles (Doris) Lebda, 2925 Hawthorn, Franklin Park, 111., are the groom's parents. Reverend Dorrance E. Tranel, and Reverend Paul Krupinski, a cousin of the bride, celebrated the 3 p.m. liturgy. Special music was performed by a friend of the bride, Joy Spengel. Altar boys were Bob and Bill Hartmann, brothers of the bride; and a cousin of the groom, Brian Roen. Por­ tions of the wedding ceremony were read by sisters of the bride, Patti and Caryn Hartmann; and Sally Lebda, sister of the groom. The bride chose a Queen Anne style gown of organza, trimmed with chantilly lace, and flowed into a long cathedral train. The four- layer veil, in blusher, fingertip, waltz and cathedral lengths,. echoed the chantilly lace treatment. The maid of honor was Heather Newkirk of McHenry, a friend of the bride. Bridesmaids were Patti and Caryn Hartmann, sisters of the bride, both of Wonder Lake; Sally Lebda, sister of the groom, of Franklin Park; and Lori Vogt, a friend of the bride, of Wonder Lake. Flower girls were Tamee Roen of Franklin Park, a cousin of the groom; and Kelly Slack of Wonder Lake, a cousin of the bride. All attendants were attired in long, sea foam colored, matching blouson style dresses. Groomsmen were Marty Lebda of Chicago, a cousin of the groom; Dennis Lewandowski of Chicago, and Alan Mrowka of Wonder Lake, both friends of the groom; and George Hart­ mann,III, of Wonder Lake, a brother of the bride. Ushers were Mark Dickman of Wonder Lake, an uncle of the bride and a friend, Paul Hyland of Belvidere. The groom's tuxedo was white, and groomsmen wore brown tuxedos with dark brown suede trim. The mother of the bride chose a champagne color, sleeveless formal with matching coat. A coral formal with matching jacket, both adorned with beading, was the choice of the groom's mother, Following the ceremony, a reception for 300 guests was held at John Evans Inn, Crystal Lake and the guest book was circulated by Cheryl Biggers of Wonder Lake, a cousin of the bride. The couple will reside at 557 Chatham circle, Buffalo Grove, 111. when they return from their honeymoon. The bride graduated from Marian Central Catholic high school in 1979 and will work as a secretary in Wheeling. The groom is a 1976 graduate of East Leyden high school and he is employed at C & A Auto Body, in Chicago. A rehearsal dinner for 35 guests was held at Chapel Hill Country club Friday evening. Plan Sunday Brunch, Bake Sale, Sept. 28 The First United Methodist church of McHenry is having a Sunday brunch and bake sale Sept. 28, and the brunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the fellowship hall of the First United Methodist church, 3717 West Main street, The bake sale featuring very delicious homemade goodies will be held at the same time. The chef promises a "gourmet menu"!! The prospective bride and groom are 1976 graduates of Marian Central high school and 1980 graduates of Northern Illinois university. A May 30, 1981 wedding is planned. Wed In Crystal Lake St. Thomas Catholic church in Crystal Lake was the setting for the exchange of vows Sept. 12, between the former Suzanne Marie Diedrich and Thomas F. Hopp. Reverend McKitrick of­ ficiated at the 5 p.m. ceremony and special music was provided on guitars by three friends, Tim Cordrey, Andy Fossum and Vic Hopp. Mr. and Mrs. James Thennes were lecturers. The bride is the daughter of Kenneth and Marie Diedrich, 3505 W. Broad, McHenry. Victor and Constance Hopp of 2013 Sunnyside Beach drive, McHenry, are the parents of the groom. The bride chose an ivory floor length gown of crepe over taffeta, featuring a sweetheart neckline and a modified wrap skirt, with a chapel length train. Lace appliques adorned the bodice, which was enhanced with sheer long sleeves. She wore silk flowers in her hair to complete the look. The maid of honor was Patricia Dwyer of Wood­ stock. She was attired in a floor length teal blue dress, styled with a V-neck and short sleeves. She carried a bouquet of silk flowers died to match the dress. The flower girls were Holly Harvey of Ringwood, the groom's niece, and Lisa Steffan of Rockford, a cousin of the bride. They wore floral print, floor length dresses with a ruffled neckline, short puffed sleeves and an eyelet sash. Both girls carried baskets of silk flowers. All the flowers were hand made of silk, fashioned by the bride's second cousin, Mrs. Jack Kozumplik. The duties of best man were handled by Michael Thompson of McHenry. The bride's mother chose a burgundy, arnel and nylon street length, sleeveless dress. A blue street-length dress with a lace bodice and jacket, spaghetti straps, and an accordian pleated skirt, was the choice of the groom's mother. A reception for 200 friends and relatives was held at the Johnsburg Community club, Johnsburg, following the ceremony. The wedding cake was made by the bride's great aunt, Gusie Diedrich. When the newlyweds return from a honeymoon in Minnesota, visiting Isle Royal on Lake Superior, they plan to make their home in McHenry, on the Fox river. The new Mrs. Hopp is an appraiser-manager for Steffan's jewelers and her husband is employed as a cook at the Crystal Lake Country club. Both are graduates of Marian Central high school. Senior Walk-In Center Meals are served Monday through Friday at the McHenry Walk-In center beginning at 11:45 a.m. Reservations must be made by 1:30 p.m. the day before at 385-8260. The menu for the week of Sept. 22 through Sept. 26 is as follows: Sept. 22: New England boiled stew, scalloped peaches, green beans, rolls, baked custard, milk. Sept. 23: GUSSIES GOODIE - Last minute chili (cook book recipe by Gussie Miller, Woodstock) whole kernel corn, apple celery salad, French bread, cake, milk. Jane Freund Married In Alaska Rite Dillingham, Alaska, was the scene of the wedding of a local girl, Jane Freund, and Charles Koch Aug. 3. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Freund of 1715 N. Riverside drive, and the groom is the son of Connie Koch of Seattle, Wash., and the late Evan Koch. Attending the bride were her sister, Kim Freund, Kathy Korsch, Seattle, Wash., and Stephanie Nunes, Thousand Oaks, Calif. The groom chose for his attendants, Bo Didiley, Kansas City, Mo., Nicky Smeaton, Dillingham, Jeff Jones and Richard Wilson, Portland, Ore. The guest book was passed by Kim Freund. The reception was held at the Sea-Inn in Dillingham. The newlyweds are making their home in Dillingham.
