On Saturday, Sept. 20, the bicycle was stolen from a private yard, while the boy was fishing with friends on Lily Lake. Mother Mrs. Bourquin, reported the loss to the police, who stated as the offenders were juveniles there was not much to be accomplished by ap prehending them. Parts of the bicycle have been noted on other bicycles belonging to youngsters in the area, who said they had traded something of value for the mag wheels, etc., so they did not care if the items had been stolen. Where are the parents or adults responsible for these children? Stealing is stealing, if you are 2 years old, 22 years old or 82 years old. And the older one is before being caught, the higher the cost to society and to the self-worth of the in- dividual. i l l Parents: wake up! when Johnny (or Sally) has a new item not purchased through your or the child's efforts, take the time to discover where those items have come from. You love your children and want the best for them. Prove it. LADIES LEAGUE The bi-monthly get- together of the Lily Lake Ladies League was held at President Helen Para's home last Wednesday.
