He moved to McHenry from Chicago in 1941. He was formerly associated with Peter F. Reynolds Realtors, Downs Mohl & Co., Realtors, and Chesterfield Furniture Co., all of Chicago. He was a member of the Enterprise Club of McHenry county. Survivors include his wife, Ethel G., nee Magnuson, whom he married June 26, 1937, in Chicago; two daughters, Mrs. Tom (Karen) Roti, Crystal Lake, and Mrs. Maury (Jeanne) Richardson, Rolling Hills Estates, Calif; a son, John Bailey of Harbor City, Calif; five grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Everett (Mildred) Howard of Phoenix, Ariz. River road, McHenry, died Sunday, Nov. 30, at McHenry hospital. He was 87 years old, born in Chicago Sept. 25, 1893, the son of Arthur C. and Mary (Dacey) Jordan. Mr. Jordan lived in McHenry 21 years, having come from Chicago. He was a retired yard man for a coal company in Chicago and from 1966 to 1973, drove a school bus for District 15, McHenry. Survivors are his wife, Lilah (Peterson)»whom he married July 10, 1913 in Chicago; a son Richard Jordan of Mason City, Iowa and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, William E. Jordan, in January of 1977. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 2 p.m., at the Peter M. Justen & Son funeral home, with Pastor Ralph J. Smith of the First United Methodist church officiating, and burial in Woodland cemetery, McHenry. Visitation was scheduled for Tuesday from 3 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Raske, Sr., 7416 Wooded Shore drive, Wonder Lake, died Satur­ day, Nov. 29, at Memorial hospital for McHenry county, Woodstock. He was 57 years old, born in Chicago Dec. 2, 1922, to Elmer and Nettie (Pierce) Raske. Mr. Raske lived in the Wonder Lake area 25 years, having come from Chicago. He was a WW II veteran and a member of the Robert Vanderstraeten Post No. 1169, Wonder Lake. Survivors are his wife, Jane L. (Barden) whom he married May 15, 1943 in Chicago; two daughters, Mrs. Joseph (Donna) Kretsch of Fresno, Cal. and Mrs. Robert (Sandra) Donelli of McHenry; one son, Edward R. Raske, Jr. of Wonder Lake; and six grandchildren. Also sur­ viving are one sister, Mrs. Evelyn Gustek of Wonder Lake and three brothers, Arthur Raske of Brooster, N. Y.; Elmer of Rhinelander, Wis.; and Gerald R< of Wonder Lake. A funeral Mass was conducted Tuesday, 10 a.m., at Christ the King Catholic church, Wonder Lake, with burial in the church cemetery. Skidmore, age 75, of 4407 Van Bur en street, Ringwood, died Thursday, Nov. 27, at Memorial hospital for McHenry c o u n t y , W o o d s t o c k , following a long illness. He was born June 22, 1906 in Chicago, the son of Ed­ ward and Edith James Skidmore. He was married to Edith Ehlert on March 16, 1940, in Wilmot, Wis. Mr. Skidmore was a painter-decorator all his life, retiring in 1973. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Painters Local 194, Chicago and a member of the Zion Lutheran church, McHenry. He is survived by his wife Edith, three daughters, Mrs. Robert (Delores) Malsch of Ringwood, Mrs. Jerry (Betty) Williams of Burleson, Tex. and Mrs. Ronald (Jackie) Creutz of McHenry; a son Edward Skidmore of Mountain, Wis.; 14 grandchildren, six great­ grandchildren and a brother James Skidmore of Knox- ville, Tenn. Funeral services were Monday, 11 a.m., at the Ehorn-Adams funeral home, Richmond, with Reverend Herman Graef officiating, and interment' in Wilmot cemetery.
