H u>1 To be sure your photograph will be ready for holiday gift- giving consult your local pro fessional photographer at least two months before Christmas, or even earlier if possible. When you talk with the photographer before the sitting, he or she can help you select the style, mood, colors and setting that will be most pleasing to everyone in your family. Casual or formal? Families with a casual life style often prefer to have their portrait made outdoors. Others {Refer the more formal look that can be achieved in the studio. Your photographer also can advise you about the different- size enlargements you can or der, as well as custom finishes, mounts and frames to enhance ihe final portrait. And when you request the portrait on Kodak paper, you will be sure that your gift will have a quality lode. Here are a few additional tips to help you plan for your portrait sitting. Color-coordinated outfits, usually with solid colors or sub tle panerns, look best in a por-. trait. Most photographers advise clients to avoid wearing any thing that will detract froth the face or faces, which are the most important part of any portrait. Makeup should be coordi nated with the clothing a woman is wearing. And hairstyles should look natural to avoid a dated or overly formal look. From one portrait session you can order small framed prints for desk or dresser, as well as large ones to hang in appropriate places in your house and to pre- sent to grandparents and friends. Life-long memory Wherever you place your sea sonal portrait, it will keep the memory of Christmas alive in your home all year long. / have often thought, says Sir Roger, it happens very welt " ouiifi r« rffiiyiwyj MfwtfCS
