JANUARY Remembering When BIRTHS Few things remain the same, but some of them retain enough that is familiar to identify them through the years. One such farm is the S. H. Freund location on Riverside Drive. When this picture was taken, between 1912 and 1915, it was called the Riverside Dairy farm. Mrs. Priscilla Hiller and her family now reside there. Deaths ROBERT A. WADE Robert A. Wade, 40, of 4313 D e n n i s b o u l e v a r d , Sunnyside, died Sunday, Dec. 21, in Sherman hospital. He was born April 2,1940, in Isabella, 111. Mr. Wade was a 10-year resident of the a area, formerly of Fox Lake. He had worked at International Harverster, Melrose Park, as a machine operator; was employed for five years by Arrow Trucking Co., Fox Lake; and recently worked with Sunrise Carthage Co., Crystal Lake, hauling cement products. He was active in the Johnsburg Youth Baseball league. He is survived by his wife, the former Donna Vlchek, whom he maried March 7, 1979, in Woodstock. Other survivors are his childen, Debra and William Wade, McHenry and Cynthia and James Korolovich, McHenry; and two sisters. There was no visitation at the George R. Justen & Son funeral home and inurnment was private. A memorial service will be held Sunday, Dec. 28, 11:30 a a.m., in the Lutheran Church' of All Saints, Spring Grove. Memorials in his name are requested to the Johnsburg Youth Baseball league. ARTHUR W. WALKER Arthur W. Walker, 4518 W. Shore drive, McHenry, died Monday, Dec. 22, in Cares toel Professional Care center. He was 94, born Aug. 27, 1886, in Ipswich, England, the son of Walter ana Jessie (Stevenson) Walker. A one-year resident of the area, formerly of the near north side of Chicago, Mr. Walker worked until his 93rd birthday, and over 70 years for the Theo. Ebert & Co., decorators in Chicago, holding the position of estimator for the company. He was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel parish, Chicago. Mr. Walker is survived by his wife, Marguerite, nee Miller, whom ne married Dec. 10, 1908. Also surviving is a daughter, Joan Krater of M c H e n r y ; t h r e e grandchildren; seven great­ grandchildren and a sister, Alice Walker of Ipswich. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Mrs. Marguerite Dupon of Chicago, in 1971. A funeral Mass was conducted Wednesday, 10 a.m., in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, and interment followed in St. Boniface cemetery, Chicago. Visitation was after 5 p.m. Tuesday, at the George R. Justen & Son funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer society. What maintains one vice would bring up two children. •Benjamin Franklin. He was welcomed home by a 13- year-old brother Richard and a sister, Gwendalyn, age three. Grandparents are Mrs. Marion J. Wahl of Zenda, Wis. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Ceth Nelson. Roy L. LaForce of Janesville, Wis. is the great-grandfather. Mr. and Mrs. Michael R. Whalen, 1407 Green street, McHenry, became parents of their first child Dec. 3.
