In South Beloit on Friday, the locals could do no wrong, as Neiss netted a career high, but against Woodstock the Skyhawks were intimidated against the height of the opponents, and coach Bob Kies went to his bench continually in an attempt to cure a severe case of frustration. The Skyhawks scored the first three buckets of the slow first quarter as Tom Peiper, Rick Neiss and Russ Beck all hit the net early. Woodstock came back to make it 6-6 and moved ahead 10-9 with 55 seconds left in the first quarter The Johnsburg coach went Plaindealer Park. That is -- the Club is sold if Commissioner Kuhn doesn't start nit-pickin'. If the new owners are approved and accepted into the holier-than-thou baseball family, they are going to let the fans pick the new uniforms. / You remember the firogram "My Friend rma". In the circle of White Sox fans, it is "Our Friend Mona". Mona phoned to say she has designed a new uniform and is sending her sketch in to the Sox. It really was Florence's birthday, but she graciously served as a decoy and waited in St. Patrick's Hall with a large crowd for Petie's arrival. Now, that was a fun party if ever there was one. More fun than an old fashioned Irish wake. So many friendly people to meet and greet. It was right down our alley.
