Their family consists of Guy, age 13, who is in eighth grade at Johnsburg Junior high; Nicole, age 12, grade 6, also in Johns burg Junior high; Troy, age 6, a first grader in the Ringwood school. The whole family are animal lovers and Greg and Guy are football fans. Greg is a state official for basketball and baseball. Nicole loves her horse and someday hopes to be a great horsewoman. Troy just loves everything a six-year-old boy does. Karen is a geneology and history nut. If you want to find your "Roots" talk to Karen, she may be able to help you. UNITED METHODIST WOMEN Twelve ladies met in the home of Alice Peet last Thursday for the regular meeting of U.M.W. Since it was also Alice's birthday, they celebrated the occasion with a card shower and Mary Butler brought a birthday cake to top off the delicious lunch Alice served. Programming, scheduling of hostesses and setting dates for special events were completed at the meeting and a copy of this information will be included in the next issue of the church "Messenger". UNITED METHODIST YOUTH The Greenwood-Ringwood U.M.Y. met at the Ringwood churdh last Sunday evening for a fun night of games. Plans were made to go "tubeing" Jan. 25 if the weatherman provides enough snow. The evening closed with a devotion period led by Pastor Smith. RINGWOOD BUSY THREE 4-HCLUB The monthly meeting of the Ringwood Busy Three 4- H club was held Monday evening with vice president Tina Steinmetz presiding. The members decided to have a snow party Friday evening, Jan. 16, at Veterans Acres in Crystal Lake from 7:30 to9:30 p.m. There was a discussion on the Share-the- Fun competition. Members presenting talks at this meeting were Heather Mahl on "Dogs", An Marie Kee "Ceramics" and Terri Steinmetz "Rabbits". - \ The next meeting will be held Feb. 9 at the Ringwood school. She will complete work for her Master in Speech Pathology at Northwestern. Lori, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Kuczwara of 1616 River Terrace, McHenry, was a summer resident here for many years until the family established a per­ manent residence last April. Because of credits she earned through CLEP tests, she began ix>ras college on an academic scholarship as a sophomore and was enrolled in the honors program. She was placed on the Dean's list all three semesters at Lor as and is transferring this month to Bradley. T h i s o u t s t a n d i n g academic achivement, together with her ex­ tracurricular school in­ volvement, has earned Miss Kuczwara an academic scholarship at Bradley, which she enters as a junior. She will double major to earn her B.S. in Speech Pathology and Audiology. She is an avid water and s n o w s k i e r .
