Hard work may not kill anyone, but. occasionally, it sure wears one down. ARTHUR KRAL'SE Arthur D. "Torrchy" Krause, 73, was found dead by his wife in the basement of their home at 1506 N. Park street, McHenry, Saturday morning, Jan. 17. Coroner Lantz, the McHenry Area Rescue squad and the McHenry Police department were called to the residence, according to Police Chief Pasenelli. Mr Krause was born Aug. 21, 1907 in McHenry, to Albert and Barbara (Schreiner) Krause. He was a lifetime resident of McHenry, belonged to St. Patrick's Catholic church, attended McHenry schools and graduated from McHenry high school in 1926. After his father left the position of postmaster, Mr. Krause joined him at Krause's News Agency and Office Supply store. Elm street. He also owned and operated the McHenry Ice company for many years and retired from the news agency nine years ago. Survivors include his wife Ella, nee Homola, whom he married Oct 2, 1947 in McHenry; one daughter, Barbara Gelanis, Seneca, 111 , a stepson. Dale Houghton.
