Many hearty souls could be found boring holes in the 12 inch ice so they could try their luck. On Saturday Mark Mussared took the largest fish prize, with his 11.6 inch, 1.10 pound crappie. Smallest fish award went to Jeff Peters for a 2.7 inch, .01 pound perch. Sunday's largest fish, caught by Joe Flicek was a 12.6 inch, 1.20 pound bass. The smallest fish, a 2.5 inch, .01 pound perch was caught by Phil Wolff. SIX CANDLES David and Sue Danielson's daughter Brenda was six years old Jan. 20 and was treated to a birthday dinner on her special day. Her brother Brian was there with friends Jami Cominsky, Toni and Bobby Gacek and Bernelle Lovett. The children had fun playing games and had cake and ice cream before returning home* FIRSTBORN David and Patti Sagers are proud to announce the birth of their son on Jan. 14. Christopher David made his appearance at McHenry hospital weighing 7 lbs., 9 oz., and measured 19 inches long. ENGAGED Elmer and Jane Boeldt had a happy occasion at their home last week. Daughter Julie received a beautiful diamond ring from her boyfriend Ryan Sch- walenberg. Plans are now under way for an October, 1 9 8 2 w e d d i n g . Congratulations to a fine young couple. TIME FLIES This week marks the one- year anniversary of my writing your local column. It's been a fantastic year meeting and hearing from so many people.
