Sue Hutchinson, senior forward on the McHenry high school girls' basketball tea, was selected to the All Conference team. Sue led the Warriors in scoring with a total of 389 points this season, averaging Just over 16 points per game. Three Johnsburg Skyhawk stars, Chris Dixon, Tom Schoenig and Brett Zim- brick, were named to the Shark conference All-Star team in balloting by the conference coaches. The McHenry High Warriors of Gary Gray were eliminated from state competition by the Crystal lake Tigers by the score of 45 to 34. The Johnsburg Skyhawk girls' varsity basketball squad was riding high on a cloud at halftime of the championship game of the IHSA Class A Regional at Richmond. They led the Marian Hurricanes by a score of 24 to 11. But then lightning struck. The Sky hawks lost in overtime, 44-37. MCHS Wrestling award winners were Most Valuable Varsity werstler, Ed Hughes, senior; Most Valuable junior, Brian Wrona; Pat Haderly, most and Moat Valuable fresh­ man, John Clewis. Hie McHenry high girts' badminton team lost a close match to DeKalb by the score of 3 to S. I.**! Jensen, senior guard of Ken Ludwig's McHenry Warriors, was selected Mr. fcatffii at the '--"f1 banquet held at West campus. He was selected to theAU-Tourney team both at Sycamore and Elgin, an unanimous selection on the Fox Valley conference team and a second team honor on the Elgin Courier News area team. Senior forward Barry Anderson was selected as the Most Improved player this season, and junior forward Bob Zeller won the free throw trophy with an average of 729. Terri Bohlman and Sue Hutchinson were honored as Most Valuable players on this year's McHenry high girls' basketball team. Vicky Kopsell was selected as the Most Improved player on this year's squad. Sue was also honored earlier in the season as an unanimous selection on the Fox Valley conference team. The finals of the C.O.F. state basketball tournament wound up at West campus in improved, junior; and Kevin a Maze of glory.
