JACK KOERTGEN Jack and Grace Koertgen of Wonder Lake will observe their fiftieth wedding an­ niversary March 2. In honor of this special occasion, the Green Hill Shores Ladies club is planning a surprise remembrance for Mrs. Koertgen Saturday. Feb. 14. The celebrants are the parents of four children. A daughter, Jane Toepper, resides in McHenry with her husband Jim and two children; a son, Pat Koer­ tgen, lives in Malibu Beach, Calif.; a daughter, Mary Carmarda, resides in Evanston with her husband Tony and three children; a son, Mickey, is deceased. A highlight of the dance will be the crowning of queens from cach of the four chapters involved in the Executive Coordinating committee of McHenry county of Beta Sigma Phi Members and guests of Xi Kappa Iota chapter are invited to a cocktail party preceding the dance, from 7:3010 8:30 p.m , at the home of Dee Boeka. The Illinois Beta Sigma Phi State Convention is scheduled Oct. 23, 24 and 25, at the Prairie Capitol center and the 1981 convention theme is "Down Memory Lane". Several members are planning to attend. McHenry, it was suggested by the Activities department that a mock wedding could be planned, prepared for and staged by those Interested. Volunteers included, from left to right, seated, lM-year-old Louise Frans; Ruby Jones; Jim Lobas, best man; John Thennes, bridegroom; Dorothy Craten, bride; Margaret Halle; and Laura Struck, minister. Standing from left to right are Mary MannareU, Barb Ossman, Agnes Frere and Panline Grandsart, maid of honor. The event was thoroughly enjoyed by the participants, who even had a good time at the rehearsals for the ceremony. The ladles sewed their veils and made all of the flowers from facial tissues. Bethany Brooke Graham Baptized February 8 BIRTHS Bethany Brooke Graham, daughter of Paul and Deanna Graham of McHenry, joined the parish of St. Patrick's Catholic church, McHenry, when she received the sacrament of baptism Sunday, Feb. 8. Father Tefoe officiated at the celebration and the godparents were a friend, Patrick Bauer of McHenry and Pauline Mullen, the infant's sister. A party in honor of the happy occsion was held at the Graham residence with many aunts, uncles and cousins in attendance. Included were Bob Graham and children, Bobby and Susie; Trudy Palys and daughter Jessica; Jim Graham with children Beth, Kathy and Mike; Mike and Mary Jensen with children Joshua and Jenny. Friends of the family also joined in the festivities. They were Tony and Kathy Schaefer, Bob Baumgartner, Stacy Russell and Bob Nias with children Christy and Carl. The baby's other two sisters, Kimberlv Mullen and Colleen Mullen, also attended. A ring, shoes and socks were mementos from her sisters that Bethany Brooke wore during the service. The enire gymnasium will be transformed into an in­ ternational theme entitled "It's a small world" and there will be games and attractions in the Carnival Arcade plus an all-school Art Fair.
