Feature Area Residents Production Of "Grease In West Camp PAGE S • PLAINDEALER • FRIDAY. FEBRUARY 20, IM1 s. Announce MCHS Honor Roll The Woodstock Musical Theater Co. is pleased to announce the cast of it's spring production of "Grease." The show is a reminiscent romp back to Rydell high school when the guys wore D A. hairstyles and the "chicks" practiced french- inhaling of cigarettes. The story line revolves around the rocky beginnings of = nwunw: between leader of the Burger Palace Boys (Danny) and the cute, but somewhat naive new girl in toton (Sandy). Danny is being portrayed by Ron Parks of Woodstock, for merly of McHenry. ; Parks has appeared in numerous W.M.TrfC. productions including "South Pacific," "The Odd Couple," and "Li'lAbner." Sandy is being played by Donna Dunk, a voice teacher in Cary. This is her first appearance in Woodstock, continuing a theater interest she began in the Quad Cities. Appearing as Kenickie, the surly second in com mand of the Burger Palace Boys, is Dave Mullin of Elgin who was last seen as Lazar Wolf in last fall's production of "Fiddler on the Roof." Anns Marie Maurer of Crystal Lake is making her first appearance with the W.M.T.C. as Rizzo, the leader of the Pink Ladies. Anna has had leading roles with the Best Off Broadway Players prior to coming to Woodstock. Rounding out the 17- member cast are people from eight different com munities. Of those cast, seven are making their debut appearances with the W.M.T.C. McHenry sends Pam Litka as Marty the Pink Ladies' beauty, and Rob Thomas as Doody the hero-worshipping Burger Palace boy. Roun ding out the cast are Rich mond's Paula Fox as Frenchy, the dumb beautician; Spring Grove's George Richardson (debut) as Roger, the class clown; Wonder Lake's Rick Weideman (debut) as Eugene, the class valedic torian; and Cary's Frank Niemiec (debut) as Sonny, the big-talking Burger Palace boy.
