Proposed Hotel Meeting Focus Of Libertarians The next regular meeting of the Libertarian party of McHenry county will focus on the proposed Sheraton hotel to be built near Route 31 and Three Oaks road. Specifically, the City of Crystal Lake has agreed to guarantee the bonds required to finance this venture, and this raises several issues which concern Libertarians. The meeting will be held Sunday, March 15, at the home of Steve Garcia, 24 Timber Terrace, Bright Oaks-Cary, at 3 p.m. CONSUMER VCHECKUST THAWING MEAT The best way to thaw meat and pouitry is in the refriger ator. If you must thaw them outside the refrigerator, put them in a sealed plastic bag under cold running water; or in a closed double paper bag without the use of water. The trick is to allow it to get just warm enough to thaw and still cool enough to slow down germ growth. I've heard a lot of discussion concerning a "now economics" and, particularly "supply- side economics" being the rule for the coming years. What is "supply- side economics"? A.Supply-side economics is a theory being put forth as a possible cure for in flation. Basically, what supply-side economics would do is stimulate supply, probably by creating new tax incen tives for savings and in vestments, attempt to deregulate business and industry to allow market forces to operate freely and put a tight reign on gover nment expenditures. The primary thrust of supply-side economics is the industrial base of the American economy, or in a word, produc tivity. Economic and financial experts generally agree that supply-side economics is deserving of support, because it is probably our best weapon again st inflation, if all areas of the economy are kept in perspective.
