The bride, the former Renee A Freund, is the daughter of Robert L and Renee A Freund, 4210 W Crystal Lake road, McHenry. Gwynn and Genevieve Crossland, 3205 Maple lane, Hazel Crest, 111. are the parents of the bridegroom The couple exchanged promises of marriage before the Reverend Rex Crossland. a brother of the groom, at a 2:30 p.m. ceremony performed March 21, in the Crystal Lake Church of Christ Ap­ propriate music was provided by.a cousin of the groom, vocalist Darwin Morton. The bride wore a floor length gown of white silk organza, enhanced with schiffli lace. The bodice featured a high neck and long straight bridal sleeves. The skirt was highlighted with an A-line front and back fullness, trailing into a chapel length train. Secured to her Juliet cap, adorned with seed pearls, was a lace edged, waltz length veil of imported illusion veiling. A sister of the bride. Judi Jones of Richmond, was the matron of honor. Bridesmaids were friends of the bride, Cathy Pintozzi of M ilwaukee, Wendy Gildemeister of Mt. Vernon, Iowa and Denise Gray of Chicago Attendants were attired in seafoam green, floor length gowns, with a full skirt, complimented by a floral design chiffon overskirt. The blouson bodice was styled with a gathered neck and split sleeves. The best man was a friend of the groom, Joel Fields of Hobart, Ind. Groomsmen were Craig Radcliff of Normal, a friend of the groom; Michael Freund of McHenry. the bride's brother; and Jed Morton of Sunray, Tex., a cousin of the groom Ushers were the bride's brother. Ron Freund of McHenry and Larry Jones of Richmond, a brother-in-law of the bride The mother of the,, bride chose a maize floor length polyester gown featuring a lace bodice and pleated skirt, A matching long sleeve lace jacket completed the look. An Apricot and green print, floor length chiffon gown, with an A-line skirt, jewel neckline ador­ ning the bodice and butterfly sleeves, was the choice of the groom's mother. After the wedding, John Evans Inn, Crystal Lake, was the setting for a reception for 200 guests. Honored guests were Mrs. Willie Morton, Jr of Texas, the groom's grandmother and the bride's grand­ mother. Mrs. Mary Freund of McHenry. The bride graduated from Illinois State university in December of 1980, with a Bachelor of Science in Education degree and is an elementary education teacher. The groom graduated from Illinois State University in May of 1980, with a major in Business Administration and an Economics minor. He is employed as a management trainee with F.S Service, Belleville. III. LAURA MAREK AND CLIFFORD GILL PLAN JUNE WEDDING - Mr. and Mrs. Frank Gill of Wonder Lake announce the engagement of their son Clifford, to Laura Marek, daughter of John and Leona Marek. The bride elect is a 1977 graduate of DePaul university and her fiance graduated from the same school in 1976. The couple will reside in Chicago after their wedding June 28. MR. AND MRS. BRETT WHITE WED IN CRYSTAL LAKE - The former Lori Gibson and Brett White were united in marriage Mar. 7, at a 2 p.m. ceremony, before Pastor Robert Hagerman at the Calvary Christian church, Crystal Lake. The groom's sister sang "There Is Love" as the bride approached the altar. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Gibson of McHenry. Dolores White of McHenry and Robert White of Wisconsin are parents of the groom. The maid of honor was Tammy Gribben and bridesmaids were Jodie and Jan Gibson, all of McHenry. Also from McHenry were the best man Steve Hurst and groomsmen Ira Bain and Mark Gibson. John Gibson and Michael Daurio, both of McHenry, were the ushers. A reception dinner for more than 100 guests was held following the ceremony at the home of the bride. The newly weds are living in McHenry. Exchange Wedding Vows In St. Mary's Church The Church of St Mary of the Assumption, McHenry. was the setting for the ex­ change of vows March 21, between the former Judy A Stoffel and David E Malo The Reverend James Gaynor officiated at the 2:30 p.m. solemnization. The bride is the daughter of Edwin and Anita Stoffel. 3908 W Oak avenue, McHenry Donald Malo of Crystal Lake and Marlene Malo of McHenry are the parents of the bridegroom The bride wore a gown of white wedgewood lace, featuring a high neckline accented with a flounced yoke, offset by satin ribbon. The long fitted sleeves were edged at the cuff with a bell flounce. The skirt was highlighted with five tiers of wedgewood lace, flowing into a cathedral train. Teresa Stoffel of Collin- sville. 111 attended the bride as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Annette Stoffel and Denise Malo of McHenry; Debra Hauser of Roselle and Laura Malo of Wonder Lake. Attendants were attired in gowns of qiana lace with a yoke and sleeves fashioned of sheer lace. The maid of honor chose the color, wine, and the bridesmaids were in frosted pink. The duties of best man were handled by Dan Malo of McHenry Groomsmen were James Stoffel of McHenry, Doug Malo of Wonder Lake, Dan Hauser of Roselle and Tom Lafontaine of Wood­ stock Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Johnsburg Community club, where 250 friends and relatives toasted the newlyweds. Upon their return from a wedding trip to Ft Lauderdale, Fla., the couple will make their home in McHenry The new Mrs. Malo is employed as a customer service representative in Crytal Lake Her husband is a tool and die maker in Crystal I^ke Versatile Hovercraft, widely used as ferry boats and military patrol vessels, can skim over ice, snow, and level terrain as easily as over water.
